I think some sort of appreciation would be a nice thing for these owners, but no to flex reward

1) 5th Season of Team Ownership: Trophy on Owner and Applicable Team Pages for Bronze Owners Trophy, 5+ Seasons of Continual Team Ownership with Team Name and Season bought. Converts to Silver, Gold and Platinum and Diamond on 10th, 15th and 20th and 25th seasons of ownership.
2) 10th season of team ownership, admission into a special VIP Owner Forum where veteran owners can discuss trades, strategy and whatever they want in aptly named subforums, ALSO includes VIP Owner Suggestion Forum where these wizened sages tell Bort what they want from the game. Bort promises to post in it at least once a quarter.
3) 15th season of team ownership, the interest rates on your team loans is decreased by X%, 10-25 or so.
4) 20th Season of Team Ownership, Stadium Upgrade. Your city provides funding for a stadium upgrade. This adds a level 400 VIP seating area which provides crazy high ticket prices for a few thousand high income fans and also allows the selling of high priced Champagne, Caviar, Baguette, Old Stadium Memorabilia concession items.
5) 500 Win Club. Owners who reach this lofty goal, of having 500 wins in a single team they own, get another personal and team Trophy aptly named and inscribed and also gain admittance to a special Owner Hall of Fame section that lists them in order of win percentages or maybe just total wins.
Trades and loans are a thing of years past. Otherwise not bad.

I would go a step further and say that any agents that have owned X amount of players (would have to make them reach a certain level to stop people from just creating and retiring players) should get some sort of reward..... be it something similar to this or a flex reward or whatever.
Honestly, in RL when you buy in quantity you generally get things for less. I realize that buying tons of flex all at once gives a small discount on here, but once an agent reaches a serious milestone that should be much better than that very minor discount that most won't buy all at once.
Not even 10 seasons ago I was suggesting that the average cost of building a player to plateau and or owning a team was too steep to keep people in this game. In Star Wars The Old Republic, I am allowed to create 8 players per servers, there are 789426332987634298724 servers on which I can create players. It cost less then 15$ per month.
In this game if you create one 300 flex player and boost him, it cost you 10$ for one month.
There's less stuff to do with that 10$ per month then on any comparable MMO to The Old Republic that arguably doesn't cost more then GLB.
Now about every team I am on is on the verge of folding because it's about impossible to find players at any level.

Yes, and no.
Firstly, you're first single player is now free, or nearly so (custom costs you still). You can play this game as a solo dot agent basically for free now.
Secondly, you are forgetting the base cost refund and 70% of boosts and custom refund. So while that initial investment is steep, the next player is more like $3 a month, and $5 for the next fellow. So for the $15/month cost of a MMO you can have one and a half to three or five players to play with here during the life cycle of your flex.
Thirdly, owning a dot is only a part of the game. And in truth its really a small part. The big part of GLB's appeal is running a team, or its offense and defense. And if you can get a gig as an OC or DC, that is actually 100 percent free. And you can get more than one such gig. You can basically load up and spend every single waking minute of your life being a coach for GLB teams if you wanted to and it would cost you nothing more than the cost of your internet connection. Thats alot more entertainment bang for your buck than an MMO. Especially since most MMOs are zero challenge intellectually.
So how appealing GLB is and how cheap or expensive it is really comes down to what you are doing in the game. If you are a solo dot owner, its free but of limited amusement. If you want alot of dots its pretty silly expensive. If you just want to run someone else's team its free and vastly time consuming and engaging.
But that said, yes the game does seem to be suffering from a numbers issue. I think Bort has a re-release in mind post Beta. And he is working fairly feverishly to get the game ready for that based on the numbers of new features and patches. If thats the case we will see what happens then. But yeah, I would think for the game to survive long term something on the cost basis of the game should be re-examined to make the game a little less of a kick in the nuts for the big stable owners like myself, even the middling numbers of dots owners.

Are you saying someone that spends two thousand dollars at this site building a ton of players should not be rewarded and a guy that spent less than $70 should be given free flex?

I mean, if you give flex away (which is what a free or reduced season is) then you open Pandora's box.

Obviously you don't understand what trolling really is since you're the only one doing it. See, I have stated that I disagree with giving away flex to people just because they've owned a team for a lengthy amount of time due to the fact that people will come out of the woodwork wanting flex for every silly reason. That's what I meant when I posted that this would be opening Pandora's box. Also stated that this suggestion (as it pertains to flex giveaways) as borderline NGTH list. Not to mention I did state I don't have a problem with giving a plaque, trophy, or some other type of visual recognition for long term ownership.
So I do believe it is you that needs to stop trolling. Hell, you don't even own or GM any teams.

BTW...my last post in this thread was 2 days ago and you bumped it just to make that comment. You fail on so many levels.
