It would be easy enough to just specify you don't want to face anyone with the same conference id as you, or min max age or level ranges, and then we put up some sort of searchable list page. Would be kinda like a marketplace for scrimmages.
What might be kinda neat is to incorporate some sort of ladder system so you could climb up some sort of rankings by playing games against teams who were ranked around you, and use that as a way of finding matchups. I've always thought that a ladder could be fun, and it would kinda kill 2 birds with one stone: Give you a ranking system and add another competition method.
