The thing I like about PeeWee is that every season is a fresh start. That's why I choose to be primarily in PeeWee instead of putting most of my effort into some other league.
To me the fun of the game is playing the game. The tactics, scouting and strategy are what I enjoy. If there can be a level playing field, where you can't gain an advantage for your team's roster by pumping flex into CE and boosting, then the satisfaction I get from playing is enhanced.
I like this game. I like the service GLB provides and I'd be willing to pay to play each season, I think that's fair. I wish there were a league where you didn't have to pay for the game by spending flex for CE and Boosting. If that ever came to be I'd be part of that. If it doesn't I won't whine and quit, I'll just keep playing.
To show I'm committed to the no CE, no Boost - Sandy Desert Reptiles of Silver 6 pledge to not add CE or Boost next season, regardless of what the other teams in my league choose to do.

That's all I've got to say about that.

Let me sum this whole thing up...

Would it be nice if there was a league or bunch of peewee leagues that were non boost/no CE, absofrigginenlutely!

BUT it won't happen. I'm not being a pessimist or trying to shoot down the idea (heck I'd play in it), rather I'm being a realist.

It won't happen for the following reasons:
- Bort doesn't make money from non-boosting leagues (before you point to the initial cost of creation, and team costs, that would not be enough to justify the overheads of running the leagues. Plus why play in a boosting league if you can play for next to free!). Therefore Bort has permanently put the idea of officially sanctioned non-boosting leagues on the NGTH list (Never Going To Happen list).

- Since it's on the NGTH list, it would have to be unofficial. This raises all the other points that have been brought up in this thread:
* There will always be one team/agent who ruins it for everyone and either breaks the rules or never agrees to them in the first place.
* Bort will not stand by and let you eliminate his cash cow, sure he can't make you boost/buy flex, but he can control how leagues are set up and which teams go where.


If you want these changes simply because of the costs involved to play peewee, then you don't stand a chance in hell. HOWEVER if you have grievances with any recent changes and how they have negatively effected the peewee leagues, then you should organize a boycott where teams agree not to boost/buy CE until your concerns are addressed & corrected! This will not stop others in the league from boosting, nor is it designed to make non-boosting leagues or allow non-boosting teams to win championships, rather it is simply a push to have the powers that be give peewee the respect and individual attention it deserves.

Just a few things to ponder. I love the Idea and wish the game was cheaper. Like I was saying 4 players for AC Surf in one season cost me 25 dollars and they aren't even on my own team. I would like Custom to be free. I dont mind boosting but let us select custom EQ points and a tree for free.

The point is, its nice to find out who all is interested, and I intend on finding out, to the fullest extent of my ability how many, if any, leagues are all willing to commit to being a nonboost/nonCE team...

Screw that! im not buying into the online terrorism some owners are spewing, you boost you boost if not then don't it is the individual agents that decide if they are boosting or buying Custom not the owner, and your telling me that if i don't go along with your plans to force GLB to make rule changes because your too cheap to buy in, that you YOU will personally get me, bring it on!, I field my entire 55 player roster, now im gonna boost every season and purchase CEQ just so you do have to face me every game, besides boosting doesn't guarantee a win, if your team sucks sometimes you cane balance that with a little boost or CEQ then again your team just sucks no matter what you do, case in point New York City Piranhas Silver 2 we just sucked!

In that case you will fail and this will all be for naught in the long run.

I guess I could see the point if you guys were trying to all rally behind a cause and get them to fix peewee issues (stamina/morale etc)... but if it's just about the desire to pay less to do what you currently do

Shit, why not just ask them to PAY US for playing/testing the game.

I think the thread made by TT was really the nail in the coffin. This idea has pretty much died because, in reality, it's an impossibility.

The only reason I was supporting this idea was so that maybe bort would come in, get scared, and give a compromise of maybe a 90% return or something like that for people retired between 1-41 days. When this idea gets basically laughed at by some of the big shots around here in TT's thread, it's safe to hang up the cleats on this one.

Oh and seriously everyone needs to stop talking about non-boosting and boosting leagues lol. Why would any of the competitive peewee owners ever choose the boosting leagues lol?

lol @ 'bigshots' You find them in every thread throwing their opinions around about whats good or bad and in the end they all have to play the same product that Bort and Co. put out. A nonboosting league prolly will not happen regardless of what asshat chimes in to say its a bad idea... unless that asshat is Catch or Bort suggesting otherwise.

The fleecing of the dedicated Pee Wee consumer is at issue here. Yes, we know the cost associated going in and yes, to win at the highest levels you currently need to boost. A sizable portion of these customers were the same ones that spent seasons 1-whatever rising through the ranks to Pro/WL and decided that was enough when the novelty wore off. What GLB needs to avoid is having these people that turned to Pee Wee for enjoyment to not lose interest and just walk away.

They have already fundamentally altered the game in the name of parity and 'fair play' at higher levels.... why not make a simple toggle for one-and-done players with a larger flex refund to stem this current booster boycott?
