I disagree very strongly with the idea you're putting forth here.
First, there's no question there's variation available in the sim from the RNG, and frankly I'm glad of that.
Second, that doesn't mean that your time spent is wasted. You can, through effort, change a 30% chance at winning into a 70% chance at winning (depending on circumstances - sometimes you can go from 30% to 35%, or 1% to 1.01%, but still). That doesn't mean that the better gameplan always wins, just that you have a much better chance of winning due to your efforts.

I mean, feel free to put all the plays back in the playbook and turn on basic AI for the rest of the season, but don't be surprised if you don't like the results.

I would like to believe, naively or not, that the better built team/better prepared team, wins out. I wouldn't have imagined that the RNG could cause a swing like that - that's all im really saying. I've had success, i know it's more than just dumb luck. Whats the level, rhetorically.

Season 9 or 10 was the last time I could fake it through a gameplan, so Year 7 sounds about right.
