Haven't been too active on the 3B9 forum but I just wanted to stop by and say that I love reading these Sportscenter updates.

As a member of the Houston Outlaws, I'm looking forward to our next game against the Omaha Shockers and to hopefully keep this streak going.

Hollywood Stars def Kansas City Wiz 23-13

After a first half dominated by Kansas City and field goals, Hollywood stormed back to 20 unanswered points to put the Wiz away. On offense Hollywood played excellently, completing 2/3rds of their passes. A glaring difference in backups became shockingly clear as the Stars second string QB completed 100% of his passes for 111 yards and a score while KC's backup completed a measly 1 for 9 and threw two picks. Defensively the Wiz's defense has got to play better to stay on top of the West. 389 yards allowed is not a good sign, those are dominating numbers. On offense, KC has shown that their backups need work. Hollywood's run defense has been outstanding all year while KC's run defense looks more and more like a middle of the pack team. This game was a wake up call to the Wiz, who had not yet faced a tough opponent. The league has improved greatly in the short offseason and they have their work cut out for them.

Tonight I'm joined by Mammoth's Quarterback Justin Mayo. Mayo, a 2nd year player, has led his team to an early 2-1 record in the eastern conference.

SportsCenter: Hi Justin, its good to have you on the show.

Justin: Thanks for having me. Its great to be here.

SportsCenter: Well Justin, you've played some excellent football all season. Your stats show real promise, a QB rating of 104.6, a 70% completion percentage. Whats the secret to your success?

Justin: I have to give all of the credit to my O-line. I have been seeing heaving blitzing all season, but those guys have kept me upright all season.

SportsCenter: I'm sure your team appreciates the great leadership you've shown, but what else have you brought to the Mammoths organization?

Justin: I think what I have brought most to the team is a sense of consistency.

SportsCenter: Are there any players on your team you really look up to? Or any that really look up to you?

Justin: I am not sure that anyone looks up to me yet, although the number two man Drew Willy seems to listen to what I have to say everyday in team meetings, someday that guy is going to be one of the great ones. As for guys that I look up to on the team; You wouldn't have to look any farther than my right tackle Jackie Newhouse. That guy is a powerhouse and brings it everyday. I think that he is the real emotional leader of this team.

SportsCenter: Can you tell me a little bit about your team, the Mammoths?

Justin: Well when I came here I didn't know what to think. I was brought in as a backup in the middle of last season, during the playoff push no less. After a couple of losses, the coaching staff decided to give me a chance in the starting lineup and to this day I'm still there. Its a great team and I can't imagine being anywhere else. There is a real sense of brotherhood on this team that I have never experienced anywhere else. I'm pretty close to getting that "Mammoth for life" tattoo. Either that or I've been drinking too much of the Kool-aid.

SportsCenter: Whats the story behind the new player acquisitions in the offseason? How are they fitting into your new team?

Justin: The offseason was a little tight for us this year. Although the new players brought in are working out just fine so far.

SportsCenter: Well, you've had some promising victories, but the East has proved to be a much more competitive conference than anyone initially thought. How do you and your team plan to continue your strong performance?

Justin: Gameplanning and hard work.

SportsCenter: How do you feel about the upcoming matchup with Radio City?

Justin: On paper it looks like a mismatch, but hey you sports guys have not been giving us much of a chance all season. Our Coaching staff has been coming up with great game plans every week, so would I say feel good about this week? Yes I do.

SportsCenter: The best teams in the league may not have taken notice of your success yet. Do you have anything to say to them?

Justin: I'm not about to get ahead of myself and start calling out teams yet. I think that we just need to stick to the game plan and keep working hard every single day. Good things happen when you do.

SportsCenter: Thank you very much for speaking with us tonight, Justin.

Justin: Anytime, and hey do you think you guys could mabye do me a favor and pick us one of these weeks.

We'll certainly be looking your way a lot more often in the coming weeks. We expect the Mammoths wont disappoint.

Well it would have looked worse if my kicker could learn to put the ball between two metal posts.

Good Evening fans of 3 Benign. Welcome to SportsCenter.

There are some good matchups in week 4 with a lot of the top half of the league pitted against each other win what should be some really close games. Lets take a look

Omaha Shockers v Houston Outlaws

A bit matchup this week as two of the still undefeated teams face off. The Outlaws have not had a really challenging game yet this year and this is definitely a tough opponent to face. The Shockers have a really great defense but a weak offense while the Outlaws seem to have a more balanced team. This is going to be a hair splitting defensive struggle, but I have to give Omaha the edge with their strong momentum.

13-9 Shockers

South Texas Thunder v Honolulu Warriors

Another huge matchup as the early boosted Thunder play the highest level team in the West. However, with the numbers this close it will come down to gameplanning. The Thunder have been playing very solid football with nothing standing out. I think the Warriors have the advantage in this one with the way they stuffed the Sea Team and ran up the score, but if they're careless they could find themselves with two losses early in the season.

13-7 Warriors

Hollywood Stars v Houston Panthers

The Stars come off a tough two week stretch with an easy week against the Panthers. The Panthers' poor chemistry will hurt their chances of staying competitive here against the Stars.

21-3 Stars

Cary Carpetbaggers v The Elite Sea Team

After a tough loss against the Shockers, the Carpetbaggers go on the road to face a floundering Elite Sea Team. The Sea Team will have to start to find some magic here or they could find themselves with a sideline ticket to the playoffs. The Baggers have been showing they can get things done on both sides of the ball, but they'll have to be wary of an always explosive Sea Team offense.

16-10 Carpetbaggers

Kansas City Wiz v El Paso Bandits

After a not entirely unexpected loss to the BC Lions, the Bandits will have to regroup. They play the Wiz this week, who are far from pushovers. The Bandits will need everything they can scrape together to stay competitive with the Wiz. Hopefully the Wiz can shake off their loss to the Stars and find their stride once again.

17-6 Wiz

Scranton Tunas v BC Lions

The Lions may have upset the Bandits, but the Tunas are a whole different beast. If the Lions can make the Tunas sweat, they'll have shown they're a force to contend with. If not, then they may have just had a good week... As for the Tunas, they need to shut the Lions down if they want to be viewed as one of the leagues top teams.

20-10 Tunas

Riverside Renegades v TEAM Chuck Norris

Well, Riverside is finally going to get their win, but they're going to need to use those high level players. If they intend to be serious contenders they need to shut Chuck Norris out. As for Chuck Norris, they need to make sure they start getting in the endzone, but at this point, any points at all would be a sign they're not dead yet.

24-0 Renegades

Oakland Terror v Los Angeles Sweetness

The Terror should finally get a win, but instead of a soft opponent, a new owner stands in their way. Hopefully Oakland can pull this one out, but dont expect the same kind of beatdown that teams have been giving the Sweetness all year.

21-3 Terror
