I can see them beating Dread City also, but that one could go either way.

Well I will give them that they are good enough that they'll almost beat you if your DC has computer issues and you end up running a S9 scrimmage DAI on accident.

An excuse for winning? Shut your hole backdoor bandit

by the skin of your teeth when you were predicted to win 56-10! Given how badly we suck, I guess that means you guys might be in the demotion race too??? Certainly anyone who can only beat a crappy AAA team by 7 has no business making the playoffs in Pro.

GG Texas. Your owner is a douche but you played a good game.

GG. Enjoy your 1 season up here.

Thanks! It's been a lot of fun so far. It goes without saying that there are some great teams up here and some quality agents. We've definitely had to step up our game planning and need to make a few personnel adjustments but we'll get the hang of things. At this point I can't think of anything I don't enjoy about USA Pro other than reading the drivel that seeps out of your finger tips but no league is perfect and everyone has to have their village idiot I guess.

Ouch.

There are some great officers out there who put their asses on the line every day. In general I can't say that I think much about the population as a whole however. Blame the system or the cops themselves but as whole I wouldn't say it's the most honorable profession you'll come across. Imo the good ones are a minority and lawdouche, if you are a cop I find it hard to believe you're a part of that minority.

Actually tbh I've had enough of that career and won't be doing it in a year. It's a pretty good profession if it wasn't for the 60+ year old brass who have nothing better to do than count "beans"

For example, taking our DWI enforcement guru who has won National MADD awards and was recognized by the State Legislature, someone who annually took over 140 drunk drivers off the street, and putting her back in patrol because her "work product had decreased" (i.e. she wasn't writing enough tickets).

When will cops realize you can't take drunk drivers out....they are a mass population! At least Florida figured this out.

Can't say for sure but I doubt it's a quota per-say. I am sure that revenue from traffic tickets does play a huge part in the department budget however. More tickets = more money and when people have basically turned what was intended to be a system designed to serve and protect into a business you can't be stretching too far when you say that ticket writing isn't only encouraged but becomes a necessity for both funding and an officer's survival within the system. You have to wonder how much focus would remain on traffic control if alternative penalties such as mandatory community service were implemented in place of monetary fines.

Drunk drivers are going to be around as long as we have cars but how much could we cut down on alcohol related fatalities if public transportation systems were improved throughout the US... You're never going to get a full metro system into small town America but there is no reason for cities like Dallas, LA and San Diego to not have improved public transport systems.

A good start would be having breathalyzers ignition systems in every car made. Or at least using some of the $ paid towards DWI fines to put these systems in a person's car. (they do after like the 3rd or 4th DWI, but it should be the first imo) it might not kill drunk driving all together...but it would make a decent dent in it for the future. its not a perfect solution...but if im going to pay 5000 dollars for a DWI, it may as well be for something that will deter me from driving drunk a little bit.

Agreed. I fail to see how any of the current "solutions" are actually used to deter future problems. There is the risk of paying fines and losing your license for a period of time or all together but how many people are just going to turn around and drive completely illegally. You take away their only source of transportation and well... people have to get to work to keep a roof over their heads. As things stand it serves as little more than another source of revenue. I like the idea of all cars having a breathalyzer actually. I imagine that a large portion of the current cost (whatever that may be) is due to a low demand for the product. If every car was using it then production costs would decline significantly and it would likely cost less than a standard car stereo. I would guess anyway.
