Bernard Berrian has had great seasons with Rex Grossman, Kyle Orton, Gus Frerotte, and Tarvaris Jackson passing to him...give the guy someone who can sling the rock and he will be solid. Favre thrives with these speed guys. Sidney Rice needs to stay healthy tho.

You know why Bears fans weren't sorry to see Berrian go? Because he was only effective on the deep routes and he dropped more Grossman TD bombs than he caught.

Snaza, Greg Olsen will be a TE god with Cutler slinging the rock, unless the Bears can land Brandon Marshall, Cutler's check down options are: check 1 look at GM to see if he is busy trying to make a trade for a WR, check 2 see if he can run for a few yards, check 3 look at Greg Olsen, check 4 look back at the GM to see if a deal was done for the WRs again, check 5 throw ball away, if the sidelines are too far check 6 throw to a lolreceiver.

check 7, throw at the FB's feet

You guys forgot the haterfacilitator... Matt Forte... he's a beast already!
I don't trust Bears fans to know a god damn thing about a good WR
When have they EVER had one... RB's and D is the Bears game.

He had more great catches than Grossman had great passes ill tell you that. Thats all he needs to be effective on is the deep ball. Having Favre and Berrian on the field alone gives about 3-4 more holes for AP or Chester to run through all damn day because there won't be an 11 man box anymore. Ever.

You also forgot the HB on the check down list.

What the hell are you talking about

Real Bears fans were very sorry to see Berrian go... and there was nothing about Berrian that bespoke "drops". The only reason the Bears didnt keep him is because they couldnt afford the (very high) price he was commanding in FA

Berrian drops.... give me a break. He helped extend Grossman's career longer than it should have, if anything

I'd love to hear your real Bears fans qualifications. Who do you think has the better gauge on it, the guy who remembers all Berrian's abysmal game losing plays in 2007 due to drops or the the bandwagon fan who sucked Berrian's nuts based of his limited viewing during the Super Bowl season? I'll bet you think Devin Hester is a great deep threat too, lol! Most Chicagoans I know were glad to see Mr. Brick Hands Berrian hit the road, we laughed our asses off when Minnesota paid top dollar for a guy who wasn't that great. Had Mark Bradley not gone down with injury during the Super Bowl season, no one would know Bernard's name.
