Until sacks allowed and hurries allowed are added, the "best" O-linement nominations appear to be based on pancakes or team loyalty. Pancakes are a bad measuring device. The center on my AAA team has nearly 400 pancakes while my RG has a little over 100. He double teams the NT some but that guy is usually on his ass thanks to the C. Most of my RG's pancakes come from when he pulls. He has allowed 0 sacks, and 0 hurries all year and is a good lead blocker as that team has a very, very good running game. Yet, no one knows as he has the fewest pancakes on a dominate line.

Not to demean anyone here who nominated O-linemen but did you really watch any of their game tape or did you just check pancake numbers?

Actually Mickey K has been in the Pros since he was created. If you didn't know, he was with the Pensacola Blazers, until like you said 4 games ago...

by the way good game today, you definitely proved you were the better FS. Although Mickey K still beats you in the PD .

Shouldnt easily the best WR in the league be at least mentioned on an MVP ballot?

Considering that Jerry Rice, who might've been the best football player ever, never won the AP MVP, then no.

But how is DEEP better than Jaeger?
DEEP - 1471 yards, 8 TD's, 3 fumbles, 10 drops
Jaeger - 1706 yards, 18 TD's, 2 fumbles, 13 drops

That doesnt necisarily mean that Jaeger is better, it just means that DEEP's team was rushing the ball more than the Daggers

Well technically you can say that about any player but all we have to go by is the stats, especially at the WR spot. Anyone could say "Well my WR could've put up those stats if he got that many throws to him" but ultimately we can't judge MVP on potential plays that could have been made. A WR can't be the most VALUABLE player in the league if his team doesn't throw him the rock a lot.

How convenient to leave off the huge difference in receptions (also making the 3 less drops that much better). How can you say the team doesnt throw me the ball a lot when I'm in 1st in receptions by a large margin? My hands are glue.

As far as the greatest football player ever. Jerry Rice has received MVP votes.

You seem to be missing my point and just taking it as a personal attack so I'll stop now.

Leaving off the receptions just makes the 235 yard difference all the more impressive. And the 18 TD's.

One's a deep threat, the other is an automatic possession receiver who can make all the hard catches and still finished 2nd in yards.

Both the top receivers in the league bar none. It depends on how you look at it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Daggers threw 100 more passes.

I caught 31.73% of our team's completions (21.5% of total attempts), had 18 more receptions (9.9 per game), and 3 less drops. Most of my catches were tough catches if you watched any highlights. Offense just wasn't on the field as much.

He caught 27.22 of his team's completions (16.8% of total attempts) had more yards and more td's.

Both great but like ledyard said two different types.

Did you just imply that WR on a team that throws less is more valuable than a WR on a team that throws more?

Somehow 18 receptions seems to pale in comparison against 235 more yards, More than twice as many scores, and more than twice the YAC. Especially when we're talking about who should be considered in the MVP race.

When they end up with that many more catches and is the target that much more often then yes. Not to mention the drops. I gave you the numbers, twist them however you'd like.
