This idea is great. If limited to friendlies, I just dont see how it could be exploited and be a detriment to GLB. For those questioning the importance of scrimmages, well one day you may understand. A few extra scrimmages will give you an opportunity to test new tactics, player rotations, etc without taking the risk of losing an important regular season game. Show me a good team out their who limited there schedule to those preseason "free" friendlies and I would be surprised.
From an owners standpoint, it would help a little. Sure the cost of a friendly is minimal but take the cost for starting a team (1000/400FP) combined with boosting your personal players and it can get costly each season. It wouldnt break your bank, but if those odd numbered FP are just sitting there going to waste - why not put them to good use and help the team get better. Great idea.
