Edit: it is 100% possible that the CPUs will be dropped and then demotions will occur. It is pure conjecture on my part that it will work the opposite of that and I very easily could be wrong. It's also "possible" that "provision for flagging non-competitive teams" will occur. However, the absence of that being mentioned in his announcement makes that extremely unlikely, IMO.

From what I understand, only bottom 2 + CPU teams will be dropped this offseason. The flagging mechanism will come into effect next season (or, more realistically, whenever Bort gets around to it).

You shouldn't be able to remain here if the only teams you can beat are the CPUs and gutted teams. I do hope that CPUs drop first, THEN the bottom two. Although that would take Foxboro, which would be a shame, I think their play has earned them a chance to stay and keep working towards rebuilding.

Foxboro is dropped regardless.

Sadly, I agree. I thought they made some good strides.

Well...they wouldn't be due to the CPU Aces if CPUs are given "dropping priority".

Thanks for noticing guys. We did lose several very close games and would love to stay in Pro and get another shot next season. I did PM the Admins stating our case to stay.

Bottom 2 teams drop no matter what. Then additional CPU teams are dropped. Then a possibility of other teams.

What sucks is that we lost to Dayton the day before they gutted their team...if they would have done it 1 day earlier Foxboro would not even be in the conversation...but thats the way the ball bounced. We at Foxboro have a strong core group of guys and some excellent GM's signed on and commited to turning this thing around.
US Pro's are no joke and we knew we were in for a fight. The worst part are the agents that will not resign unless we stay in the pros, which is understandable .....I guess?

well if we do get relegated, it looks about certain, I wanted to say good luck to everyone and we have learned alot!

Anyone else leaving? Oakland went CPU as well (and it looks like Chicago may be). Might as well get another 3-4 teams folding.

At least it's better that they sell now instead of in the middle of the season.

I disagree, midseason and we get to beat them up . (just kidding, but damn the West is going to be tough next season)

Sounds good. We're fine with being the underdog.
