From what I understand, only bottom 2 + CPU teams will be dropped this offseason. The flagging mechanism will come into effect next season (or, more realistically, whenever Bort gets around to it).
You shouldn't be able to remain here if the only teams you can beat are the CPUs and gutted teams. I do hope that CPUs drop first, THEN the bottom two. Although that would take Foxboro, which would be a shame, I think their play has earned them a chance to stay and keep working towards rebuilding.
Foxboro is dropped regardless.
