since hiring new coords the team has beat washington and colombus (19-17, 14-13) and almost beat golden state (20-17 OT loss) and san jose (35-27 loss)

the team isn't ready to compete night in and night out (this season) but will give opponents way more problems than before.

best of luck against DDT tomorrow

GL in USA Pro next season guys. The Dogs of War (the former SaberCats) never had a chance this season -- but we'll keep putting brick on top of brick and hope to claw our way back seasons down the road.

Thanks, guys.

You need to take your guys from Dryden and move them over to Foxboro......

Next season is going to be pretty crazy. 4-7 more powerhouses added to the mix or something in each conference. Every game will mean something and no game will be easy. Should pretty much rule out going better than 13-3 for even the Nighthawks.

Unless I'm missing something, or more teams go CPU before the team promotions, that won't be the case in the East. We'll only lose 2 teams.

I thought Bort was going to evaluate all teams, not just gut/CPU jobs?

I think there is going to be some provision for flagging non-competitive teams.

Not according to his Admin Announcement...He never said anything about any teams other than the normal demotions and CPU teams being dropped. I hope I'm wrong, but I even suspect that if 2 CPU team make up the bottom 2 that there won't be any other demotions at all.

Edit: it is 100% possible that the CPUs will be dropped and then demotions will occur. It is pure conjecture on my part that it will work the opposite of that and I very easily could be wrong. It's also "possible" that "provision for flagging non-competitive teams" will occur. However, the absence of that being mentioned in his announcement makes that extremely unlikely, IMO.

From what I understand, only bottom 2 + CPU teams will be dropped this offseason. The flagging mechanism will come into effect next season (or, more realistically, whenever Bort gets around to it).

You shouldn't be able to remain here if the only teams you can beat are the CPUs and gutted teams. I do hope that CPUs drop first, THEN the bottom two. Although that would take Foxboro, which would be a shame, I think their play has earned them a chance to stay and keep working towards rebuilding.
