I have often in the past engaged in silly war gaming excess (running a Star Web play by mail but moderated by computer style game at college, by hand. Later semi professionally (as in charging for it but it wasnt my real job) running various story driven play by mail games etc). Its alot of fun at first, but very soon it becomes difficult to maintain and turns the beloved hobby into something you guiltily avoid. In the end the project runs hard aground and breaks up.
I fear with the size of this thing that could happen in this season.
You would think it would not be too hard to code something on the fly to help if not totally moderate the thing.

Notable about this first week of eliminations.
-Timetoshine-Beta gets eliminated in the first week again. In 7 seasons he has been eliminated in the first week 6 times! It isn't like he is "throwing it" either. He picks close games.
-Previous winner GuruMan88 and tiebreaker runnerup RMiller517 were eliminated.
-Toppickers jdros13, Balls Models, diphatpat2000 and Outlaw Dogs were all eliminated. They will likely fall off the top list next season.
-Bottompickers BaseballGuyCAA, gart888,P@nda, GP1, The Greatest DTD, arteryman, baumusic and husker4life survived week 1. They are on their way from getting off that bottom list.
-Meanwhile, TTS-B, bobdakota, blazzinken and sunshineduck all lost, virtually solidifying their spot on next year's list.
