thanks, I'll be posting my master plan soon. I've got it to work, it just requires a bunch of fun in animation shop and a lot of cutting and pasting.

We need a script for mining stats for each position, (not just WR, but Wrs and TE & breaks out the lineman both O and D, HBs and RBs etc.) this would make doing a all pro team very simple. Mine the top ten at each position and put on a ballot, send ballot to every owner (cant vote for your own guy)in the league. tabulate the scores and post a 1st and 2nd team. Is it do-able?

do-able, yes

*big incoming BUT*

BUT, this would be a very intensive search process, meaning it would literally search each and every player on each and every team in a league, I think it would be ok to do this once in a great while(and at a non-busy time), but to have 100 people with this script doing it every day would be VERY bad, and when I say bad I mean it would be putting a large stress on the GLB server.

I can point you in the right direction code wise but I don't want to put a script out there for all to use that does this

Agree with Sir NAITF. Some scripts are just too intensive for the server to be used widely and/or at all.

The player re-roll script is probably another that falls in that category.

I know there are a few that I haven't released just because of how stressful to the server they can be.

Likewise, there's a bunch of stuff I've considered and seen requested but it's just gonna kill the server so I've passed.

Hey GreaseMonkies,

Any way you could come up with a quick solution to this small issue???

... http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=459218&page=2#4271430

All we really want is a little help in doing write ups for the leagues, but the scores disappear too quickly.

Here's a doable request because it's been done already for the depth chart windows.

Could one of you guys write a script that expands the 'Post Content:' window at the bottom of the screen when you go to create a new thread? Either something that makes it much larger to begin with or an expand button, etc. That window for new threads is really really small.

You could try my score ticker, that stores the info until the next set of games sim.
It's on the website linked from the first post of this thread

Hey Karma, thanks I have you score ticker and its excellent!

How hard would it be for you to add an 'Archive' of some kind to it?

So we can scan back by Game through the seasons.

If its going to create a lag on the site though I dont want it, speeds are slow enough as it is!

Wrath, if you can't fit it in the default little window you are typing entirely too much!

Is there anyone can create a greasemonkey script to filter out everything but script descriptions and links from this thread? 84 pages!!! daaaamn thats a lot to sift through :-P

I kid, naturally... But it would be cool if we could get a separate, locked, stickied thread with just a list of scripts out there.

Thanks mate, appreciate it
Archiving is actually a very cool idea as storing anything on your machine saves hitting the GLB site/server and scores are ideal as they never change, so if anything it would help.
As a script it's very do'able but a pretty big job and I just don't have the time at the moment. If nobody else picks it up I'll take a look when I have more time.

First Page, first post has this link to the forum where us dev types hang out and each script has it's own thread

Has anyone thought of a script to expand the forum posting window? It's pretty damn small both when posting normally and when editing, and it gets slightly annoying with longer posts.
