Holy cow, that's fuckin' stupid. I can't believe those threads got deleted.

I mean, I don't want GLB Main to turn into Free For All, but we oughta be able to have a little fun in GLB Main. Both threads were clearly meant the poke some gentle fun at the mask and vaccine threads, obviously, but as the guy who made the mask thread, I can tell you I wasn't offended in the least.

How long is the vaccine good for, a lifetime, a year, a week? What are the long term effects, if any?

I've had the china virus and recovered. My symptoms weren't that severe. It wasn't pleasant, that's for sure, but I was over it within 2 weeks. Not sure if I'm more immune to it now since I've had it already than people who get the vaccine. I have not gotten the shot and don't plan on getting it. At least for now.

I seriously suspect it will be just like the flu as far as shots go where you need to get one every year... or some such. Wouldn't surprise me if they somehow combined the two but then that's medical science beyond my pay grade.

I had the virus 1st week of Jan. and my antibodies tested to still be over 1000 recently. I was advised by my Dr. to not get the shot until it dropped below 80. He said the chances of it making me violently sick would be much less at that time. Which makes sense if you think about it. Many of my friends said the 1st shot was nothing but the 2nd shot made them sick...probably due to the immune system having made antibodies to fight it.
