The rise in interception numbers is without a doubt and unquestionably because of the rise in interception dots being built, and those dots being built more efficiently to get interceptions.

wut.

a lot of teams have quite a few INT CBs and safeties. with a majority of teams doing that, interception numbers will rise obviously.


i dont think it is too complicated to understand.


majority of DBs going purely for INTs= more INTs
majority of DBs going for purely INTs= better outside run game since no one can tackle

That's the most ironic and frustrating part about this game. They spent years and finally came up with something stable that people could build for and reasonably expect certain results, and then never built on the game around it. If they had even a person dedicated to here to implement just a few suggestions/answer a few questions it would settle down much of the unrest from people who really would like to see this game around for awhile and spend money on it.

Isn't this all about post Beta, and the fact that there have been -0- sim changes in last 5 seasons?

So all peewee gold teams are suddenly building intercepting builds? I could go seasons without seeing an interception now suddenly it went from like 15 a season to almost 60. Hell we lead PWG in interceptions without putting a single TP in jumping or catching.

coming from a guy who played 8 or 10 seasons in PW when I first got into this game in 2008, does PW really have any relevancy to the whole conversation?

For reference, I have seen 0 INTs in rookie as well. As Bhall said if you cant even figure out that those changes are coming from evolving builds and not spr secret sim nerfs, you don't even belong in this conversation.

Leader in Peewee INT's last season had 37 catching.

There really has been only one guy dominating the interception market in Peewee up until last season. Builds are evolving and it is pretty damn obvious.

Lack of INT's makes 100% sense in Rookie. Anyone shooting up catching first for their defensive player is gimping their build from the start.
