You're making the same mistake Corndog made. My fault, because I've been posting a LOT of numbers in this thread and probably haven't been as clear as I need to be.

The only way to accurately compare two Rookie class sizes is to see how large each Rookie class was at the end of its FIRST season, on Day 39.

At the end of Season 39, the Rookie Class of S39 had 11,310 dots in it.

By contrast, the Rookie Class of S40 currently has 9,087 dots in it, short by 2,223 dots. But it's also only Day 11, and people make mid-season dots every day.

So, it's actually smaller right now, but it could change by the end of S40 -- if 2,223 more mid-season dots get created between now and Day 39. But we're nowhere near the right pace to reach that right now.

Got it now, jtrav21?

tl;dr

I gotcha on that, I had only read that post with a lost of dots made from a couple of pages ago and based my comment off of that.

I plan on building 2224 Punters just to skew your numbers

Someone already beat you to that joke. Like, back on Page 2.

At least you're trying though.

Update time...

As a reminder, the only way to accurately compare two Rookie class sizes is to see how large each Rookie class was at the end of its FIRST season, on Day 39.

At the end of Season 39, the Rookie Class of S39 had 11,310 dots in it.

By contrast, the Rookie Class of S40 currently has 9,469 dots in it, short by 1,841 dots. And S40 is nearly over.

So, it's looking more and more like the Rookie Class of S40 is going to come in much smaller than the Rookie Class of S39 -- unless of course 1,841 more dots get created between now and Day 39. But just like earlier this season, we're nowhere near the right pace to reach that.

I'll give a final number on Day 39. But to anybody who has been arguing that GLB1 is fine, these numbers deal a crippling blow to that claim.
