Or you can be one of those people that tries to take matters into there own hands. Like me! You can go open your own forum thread and complain, this is for pro-active thinkers that want to see GLB1 prosper get back to what it once was.

lol

Welcome to like 3 years ago bro. Myself and others suggested all kinds of shit around 2009 and later and finally gave up. You're beating a horse's skeleton.

Honestly, the only "fix" that I've really liked the idea of is just embracing GLB1's hardcoreness.

Rebrand it as GLB: Tactics, have users buy entire teams for like 5,000 flex a season or something, that covers all boosts, CEQ, etc.

Obvious downside is that it prices people out.

I have suggested something like that on numerous occasions over the years and was shouted down by people screaming "this game is about dots". To be perfectly honest, GLB2 should have been that. All dots are CPU, there's a draft, trading is a viable option, salary caps are in place, different tiered dots that count against the salary cap depending on their tier, and so on.

Owners mode.

Are you seriously equating the NFL to this game in terms of levels?

Try Peewee Football players with NFL Veterans and you might be somewhere in the correct ball park.

but just providing negativism isnt helpful. i believe there are plenty of opportunities for tweaks and additions into this game that could help improve it. If you are capped at the amount of insta dots you can have I dont see why you would restrict it to only 79s.

My team needed a blocking TE a couple seasons ago. That was around level 50's. I found one blockign TE from a team the gutted. If it handt been him I would be out of luck. With insta dots im sure one of my buddies would have helped me out by making a insta dot to fill in.

I would suggest making the free dots not be insta dot eligible.

You team needed a blocking TE because they were forced to go through the levels. Do you seriously believe people prefer to play in the minor leagues outside of the people who can't afford to boost? (and that isn't because they don't prefer it, it is because they just can't afford it)

Unless you are going to hide the builds of dots, a draft is absolutely useless.

I remember back when dots had lvls and we could go by the lolbars. I actually enjoyed going through the player search and finding diamonds among the CPU dots.

And sorry, but coming out with the same game was pretty terrible, bhall. If Bort was going to release a GLB2 it should have been something different. Whether it be all dots are 79s, owner mode, or something else. Making it essentially GLB1 casual leagues with different graphics was a huge swing and a miss. Showed a glaring lack of creativity on the dev's part.

No I dont believe that the majority of people prefer to play in the minor leagues. I have never stated that, and in fact I typically mention how I dont like the makeup of the game until final build. But the game is the way it is, and bort has stated that the development is part of the rpg aspect. What i suggested provides a small tweak that could help some of the problems that come up along the way.

i dont think bort likes glb1 as it turned out different than what his original vision was. has decided to try and move away from it by creating something more in the mold of the original concept while at the same time attempting to milk the rest of the potential profit from glb1.

i liked the idea that someone presented about making glb2 a mobile only game...that way it wasnt a direct competition since the method of use was different.

This is a sweet idea actually, if you could have those teams along side the current model, wouldn't that prevent the pricing out of said customers?

And for what its worth, one of my and many other complaints is Admins never saying anything about ideas, and while this isn't some watershed moment Corndog did come in and talk about a suggestion that's been a hot topic, and at said ngth with what appears to logic. Now of course he is getting bombarded cuz its not what everyone wants to hear but at least its answers with rationale. The more of that the better.

Nobody ever recruited on lolbars alone. People recruited by levels and x factor. X factor only existed because of certain bugs in the game and highly different ideas about the worth of % AEQ.

GLB2 could be basketball or baseball or whatever and the same problems would still exist that it currently is facing. Not that I don't agree everyone would have welcomed the idea of something different at least at first.

I was really hoping they would come out with something unrelated to football that would bring in different users to WG and eventually introduce them all to this game. If not that, create a much different type of GLB that would make pretty much everyone leave this game for that one and keep the userbase together (while also bringing back long inactives and keeping them here) because it would be something actually new but based on the old.

You aren't seeing the big picture though. That might look like it is solving a recruiting issue because of how things currently are, but that doesn't actually inject a player base to choose from at those levels.
