I agree that networks are bad for the game in a way. In other ways they are good for the game. When you have a loyal core group of players who you know aren't going to fold up shop and go away it makes it easier to keep playing the game. Some networks have people who have been playing together for years and use their network forums to BS about anything and everything. An active network forum can keep people around, too.

That said, I still don't prescribe fully to the idea of committing to a single network. I am in about 5 of them, and do/have coordinated for non networked teams and teams in networks that I'm not a member of. A lot of the networks now have decent build guides and should be able to crank out WL quality dots.

I think a shortage of players in general is a bigger issue. A shortage of coordinators is also a problem. It seems like most of the teams I have been on that folded did so because the coords or owner quit altogether or got overwhelmed and cut back. There are not enough decent coords around. Let alone WL quality coords.

Player shortage and lack of coordinators are definitely issues, especially for people like me who aren't in any network.

The solution is obviously frat style network rushing when you sign up for an account. If you do not get selected to a network, you have to go buy the new madden game and enroll in community college algebra.

Once in a network, however, you can get a build guide and a coordinating mentor. You can even say you dissolved your network and still have a team name like this.

That said, at least cult is funny and we make cool scripts.

networks are what they are.....just because one is better than 99% of the rest of GLB doesn't mean networks in general are bad....it means they put in more time, work and money into the game than everyone else...there is no limit or rule in that regard, so they are just playing within the confines of the game.

I think in many ways some of the networks are good for the game..

I don't know how long I would have kept playing if not for the agents I hang with...

I also agree with da ape... hell I like hanging with the growl people and some other crews..

But most of my time and flex goes to A.D.D ... it's just how I enjoy the game. and it keeps me playing and spending.....

without the agents I met (many of them in those groups.. I would have left pretty soon after I returned to the game..

Did we have to form a network to hang out.. NO .. but it gives you a feel of teamwork... Is it for everyone.. well no or we would not be having this talk..

I just don't think it does near the damage that people think.. I 100% think that in many cases it keep people playing the game longer...

Look at hood... pretty much everyone would love to smack them in the head with a stick.. as individuals they are a great group of people.. hell I talk to many of them all the time... But they can be brutal in a forum... I think some of them just love to be hated.. It's just what they do.. but you can't deny they kick ass in GLB.. Nothing but respect for them.. when I am not fending off there forum strikes lol.... point it they earned what they got.. It just makes me want to get better....

I like playing top teams.. as long as I can learn from it. I'm good...

Networks IMO make the game ..... even the loud mouth pain the the ass ones.. lol
