...it all relates! ...don't have to be a mod to be a product of the system, just need to conform to the system and if you conform, then you would be more reluctant for changes outside of what you're used to or familiar/comfortable with
P.S. and if you conform then there are rewards, such as mod status, etc

Bhall asks for change all the time, just because he goes about it a different way doesn't mean he's against it. Being a mod doesn't make you bow down and accept everything, you are still a paying customer like everyone else.

You guys should really examine your stance on this and actually talk to marketing people and see what would happen to your fan/user base. Right now...the sheer cost of this game in my mind is one of the true stifling factors to any growth.
