Agreed, and I'll also add that jpjn94 at least was one helluva OC... not sure how involved he may or may not be these days.

Call me wrong, it's done all the time. But I think pretty much anyone who has won a WL Gold or Silver has done pretty well as a coordinator. I know people like to say WL isn't everything, but many people (and several come to mind) have done VERY VERY well in the Pro's just to hit a brick wall when they make the WL. I don't think that is coincidence.

I think the biggest difference in WL and Pro is the quality of the competition. and before people call me stupid hear me out. basically Pro isn't hard to get to so you get some teams in the Pro ranks that necessarily shouldn't be there. while IN WL you get the cream of the crop so to speak. basically in the Pros you can look at your schedule and pick out the teams you need to really gameplan for to win. while WL you have to gameplan for everyone or you will lose. so the time spent coordinating changes a ton from Pro to WL. and that is why alot of people faulter in the 2 different leagues IMO.

That makes sense but it's not true. The WL vets really don't try much at all if any during the regular season, but they know what works and already have schemes set up. WL newbies tend to work really hard, but they don't have the experience. Knowing is half the battle.

that makes alot of sense I only made it to WL once as a OC and I know I worked my butt off. didn't do much good for the Win/Lose record but it was cool trying to play against some of the best in the game.

There's no one I'd rather have as OC than Jiddy. Every game you could count on 13 points and a burrito.

Yup. Pretty much.

Work smarter not harder. The new promotes can't sustain game plans like that and once their chem adv is over they tend to falter

For the most part, I think this is true...but I think you are playing the 0 cares card a bit too much. If truth were REALLY told, I'd argue that more people put in a more time for each game than care to admit. Even if that is putting in a different base AI depending on who the next team to play is. And after game #10, I think even more put time in that before because playoffs are on the line for many. Those who just completely coast in the regular season are usually sitting on the sidelines after the first round of the playoffs...

Coordinating, I don't think anyone is better than creek and he joined the game a lot later than most.

I didn't make one change to my DAI all season until the morning of the Odessa playoff game and we allowed the fewest regular season points. The only thing I did for any opponent was to set tags. Granted, that laziness is why I got smoked in the first round because unlike last season I didn't write a separate playoff defense.

HCreek signed up seventeen days later than I did. Dpride signed up three months later. It would be interesting to know some of the successful people who started in 2009, 2010, etc. Probably not many. You're likely at or near the top of 2009.

i'd agree with that. i came in around the same time he did. we went up through the pro's together. spent a little time in WL and won a WL PO game, gutted, and he's still there.
