I agree with the cash being useful to dress up your dot. I know to many of us, including myself, that this seems pretty stupid. However, this is something that may hold a new players interest a little longer. It must be a drag to sign up, apply your SP's, only to find out your new team doesn't play a game for 43 hours. If there was something to fill the down time in the beginning it may keep more new players here.

There were a few ideas on here that could be made that wouldn't affect player builds. I like being able to add a box that you could add a players best plays. I have put replays on recruiting pages before, and to have them on the players page would make this easier. I also like being able to change the colors of EQ. It sounds lame, but again this would give new players something to do after they spent all of 5 seconds training their new dot.

Maybe a player could purchase the option to change his players page to the colors of his team?
Make player name changes cost $1000
Use cash to buy special GLB avatars
Use cash to buy a banner on a players page that says something like " Three time ST's MVP", maybe even put this on the agents home page playerlink.

All of that could be done without involving any in game mechanics.

How about use cash to make changes in EQ. Just like someone mentioned earlier in this post, color changes and even if you have two pieces of advanced EQ that is of the same piece like 2 shoes. You can switch one pair to shirt instead of shoes. Make it cost millions, at least the money is usefull then...

I like the idea of something like a crib. Each player has a crib and he can decorate it with items he purchases. Anyone who has played 2K games knows what I am talking about. It is just for fun though. It doesn't affect the game or his performance. But I still think people would enjoy tinkering with it, especially if others could see it or if you could set it to public so others could see it. If every player has a crib and a ton of items they can buy and unlock, they will do, or at least most of them will just because it's there. Heck, Animal Crossing was entirely based on this decorating concept and that is a pretty fun game.

The main problem is if you make money useful in anyway, then you have to deal with everyone wanting the highest contracts, and we really don't need that turmoil added to the game.

I disagree 100%. Not about the dealing with people part but not having to deal with it. That is a huge part of running a team/being an agent that is missing IMO.

Like you said its a game, wheres the turmoil?
High Contracts go to good builds, crappy contracts go to crappy builds. Those rules never change.
I know if a player demands alot of cash when he has a half ass build,he won't receive the cash from my team.
Like tpaterniti said something like a crib would be a welcome addition to spend players cash on.

We could even go as far as a player being able to purchase game tickets to pass on to his freinds and family to come to the games.
Adding to a minor increase in fan support for maybe morale or just as a way to increase team revenue.

Just because it would be difficult is not a reason to not do it.

But yes, it would have to be more useful but not SOOO useful that those with low contracts are screwed and bitter.

Might make it scaled to the position as well. So the glamor boys want more and the grunts expect and are happy and fully useful with less.
