I am pretty sure most screen makers stopped manufacturing Plasma screens about 3 or 4 years ago. Or at least started moving towards newer technologies. I used to be up on this stuff and read an interesting article a few years ago explaining how consumers would probably be buying what was left over in warehouses for a while until they ran out. Poor suckers.

I saw some pretty nice plasma's this last weekend at BB. Some looked as good as the LEDLCD's they had running. Burn isn't really an issue anymore either. Heh, def more in my price/size range we are after too. Though will still likely get a higher end smaller LCD anyway, probably a Samsung as I like the monitors I have from them.

My inlaws got a Vizio. Pretty nice looking imo, have had no problems with it.

yeah dats right...da ladies man

plasma's are getting fazed out because of the energy requirements. LCD's and LED's specificially use less electricity. Until the last 18 months to two years when the contrast ratio's went over 100000:1 plasma was a better picture.

It's still coming. Don't know about Harrisonburg area but we just started getting the stuff accumulating a couple hours ago here in NoVA. Hearing anywhere from 1-3 feet. Hope I have internet tomorrow.

been on the field, in the stands, in luxury suites and from the pressbox.

this year, I'll be watching on a glorious 72' HD, feasting like royalty and smoking the kindest of the kind

you will be 'watching' thru a 2 inch viewfinder...lugging around a camera and following the reporter around like a puppy hoping one of the players spares you a comment.... after the game instead of enjoying you'll be editting down packages til 2 or 3 am...

thats the only perk of your shitty job...

understand tho... your heroes view you as the most annoying part of their day.
