As it stands right now, these 9 teams are in: Florida, Bama, Texas, Oregon, Cincy, TCU, Boise St, GT, Ohio St

Only these scenarios can keep us out of that 10th spot:

1. Losing to Minnesota
2. Pitt beating Cincy
3. Texas losing Big XII championship
4. GT losing the ACC championship
5. Arizona (beat them), Penn State (beat them), OK State, or 3 loss Stanford getting selected before us

I think 1,2 and 4 are very possible.

1. Good chance of happening.
2. Gonna happen.
3. NGTH
4. Probably NGTH.
5. We Are!

And I'll add one more to you list, which has a greater chance of keeping you out over all of those.
6. LSU

lol. The hawkeyes beat a SEC team? I don't think so...

Iowa would see what a REAL defense looks like. I'm a Notre Dame fan. I would never want to be pitted against an SEC team.

Iowa < Florida, Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee

Iowa = Georgia and South Carolina(neither play great D this season so you might have a chance against them.)

Iowa plays scrubs all season and thinks they can compete with the big dogs. With Shonn Greene, Maybe. But with your current team even if your QB was healthy you wouldn't stand a chance against the top 4-5 SEC teams.

I'm just glad you got beat by one of those garbage teams you play. That way we aren't forced to watch another SEC blowout of the Big 10

Check out Iowa's bowl record v. SEC teams the past 5 years or so...then get back to me.

and the fact you said Iowa < tennessee and ole miss further confirms you have no idea what you're talking about

You are 3-1. Playing 2 - 4th and 1 - 5th seeded SEC teams at the time when you won them. And you lost to Florida in 2005 who was the 5th best team in the SEC.

Tennessee's D would eat you alive. Ole Miss's O would eat you alive.

I'll even say that you might stand a chance against Tennessee or Ole Miss and maybe LSU on an off day. But can you really tell me that you could beat Florida or Alabama? I don't think so. Stop acting like you own the SEC when you beat their 4th or 5th best teams in bowls. Play the big dogs and beat them then you can talk.

Whoever said anything about beating UF or bama?

I said they have a good shot if they go to the capital one or outback bowl which would put them against LSU, tenn, UGA, ole miss, SC etc. If you think they can't beat those teams...it's not worth even worth debating.

And I don't know why you're riding the SEC's dick, you're a notre dame fan LOL. Your team is always over rated, they suck and their coach is FAT. Maybe you're just envisioning what would happen in notre dame played a mid level SEC team...yea, they would get destroyed.

I think notre dame could beat Iowa. UGA is my #2 team since I've moved here to their state. That's why I've turned into a SEC homer.

The fact of the matter is ... you said, "get to beat up on another SEC team"

To me I took it like you were stating that you would beat up on any SEC team. My bad if I took it the wrong way. I just don't think Iowa is that good and god am I glad they didn't go undefeated so we can see a good championship game this season.

Iowa probably would beat Tennesee without Stanzi. Such an overrated squad it isn't funny. They have under-performed for a good bit of the season. Seriously, they are 5-5, and will probably finish .500, why are they even being mentioned? The SEC is top heavy, but the bottom and middle teams don't scare anyone. I can understand Notre Dame not wanting any part of them, but I wouldn't either with their horrible coaching. What a waste of recruiting classes.

I don't know why...you should have taken it as the realistic matchups they would possibly face. That doesn't include Florida, Bama, and probably not LSU because they'll likely get shafted unless Bama/Florida drops far enough after losing in the SEC championship.

What's the deal with the automatic births if a team is going to the NC? Will that allow a conference to have 3 teams in?
