i dont know why every one is crying about this if you all had the chance to sign a bunch of high lvl players you would so stop crying. we never planned on stacking a team or anything like that. me and mono started together he bought a team and made some players and i made some players and put them on his team season 2 i decided i wanted my own team and made players for that team. me and mono are friends outside of this game. and it is hard to run a team let alone 2, and when u have a family it is evern harder, he was GM of my team and i was GM of his team, and when his son got put in the hospital (if u want to believe that or not ) he decide he was done with owning a team, so alot of the players on his team were close and wanted to stay together, we told them they could come here,and they did. plain and simple is we have made some good friends on here and if they want to stay together than that is great. sorry if we messed up your season. any one of u would have done the same thing.

Gotta disagree. If it were me, I'd want to go to the team that already had stadium sections built and was going to earn 10 million plus this season (Mono's words, not mine). If you guys are such great buddies, why didn't you take over his team and sell yours? Move all your highest level guys to his team and make a run at the title in an established league? The story doesn't add up. And why did his sick, hospitalized child suddenly get released in the span of one day? And why is he having a cookout with a sick child at home, and have all this time that he didn't previously have to get online and check things out?

If anything that post sounds more along the lines of 'yeah, we did it ... so what?'

Coincidence...I think not!

monoxide,

I'm sorry your kid is having trouble. really. so i have no hard feeling toward you and wish you the best in RL. and i beleive you that your RL issues made you want to give up your team.

but the fact that you didn't have time to deal with your team doesn't mean that what you did wan't collusion and gutting. as has been discussed, you had a lot of options. and when you did this, you probably didn't even realize it was wrong or that others would be bothered. I understand that. but i think it does meet the technical definition of collusion and gutting none the less.

hoya, what did we do wrong that you don't like? since you have higher rated players than us, i'm not sure what your issue is.

By the way, cheating by definition is the act of violating rules deliberately. My issue is that it's not currently a rule for them to break. Sure it's discouraged and looked down upon and rightly so. The problem is that it should be a RULE with enforced consequences or better yet, like I said, not even possible in the first place. Invoking a chemistry penalty which seems to affect the outcome of games very little is not enough.

Cheating as defined by dictionary.com

"To act dishonestly;"

"violating accepted standards or rules; "a dirty fighter"; "used foul means to gain power"; "a nasty unsporting serve"; "fined for unsportsmanlike behavior" "

You are using definitions in the wrong context. The one from dictionary.com that applies the closest is v.2 To violate rules deliberately, as in a game: was accused of cheating at cards. Because we are playing a game with a predifined set of rules.

Edit: to clarify, I'm refering to your first definition. The rest actually support my statement because they infer a prexisting set of rules to be broken. As in "a dirty fighter" is dirty because he breaks rules and gets away with it.

I think the second one I provided is relevant and in the correct context.

I am going to use a couple of quotes from another post about this because I feel that it best describes the situation.

I don't get why you'd win a championship, move up a league in competition, then puss out when you have a hard time and want to go dominate someplace else again...

Talking about no spirit of competition.... This is the guy that plays Madden on the easiest level with the best team and wins every game 150-0 and wins the superbowl every year and somehow finds it "fun"....

This sucks...

Totally with you here. Yeah, just great. If they win it all -woo, uhm, congratulations... that's sort of like voluntarily flunking out of eighth grade so you could go be the school bully in 6th grade.
If they lose, they should be embarassed. Seriously.

Best of all worlds, I guess, would be seeing them get to the championship game so we know they can go away next season, and then lose it.

i agree, but to some extent there needs to be a line to what can be done to "improve a team". you guys gutted the roster of one team and put them on another in a lower level league. regardless of the circumstances in RL that led to these actions, the actions themselves seem not shady. would it not have been easier to just assign a new GM until the owner had time to come back?

i certainly see both sides of the argument here. there was supposedly going to a rule that prevented this very thing from happening (Bort was going to limit the amount of level 10+ players a team could add) but it looks like it never went through. i would jump at the chance to add high level players to a team too, but not at the expense of a majority of my roster that was with me from the beginning and to the extent where i out leveled everyone else in the league by a lot. no fun in that. but what's done is done. I look forward to the challenge of playing your team this season

Grammar break!

cuz =/= because
u =/= you
ur =/= your

If things end in -ing, please don't forget the "g".
Sentences begin with capitol letters.

If your are trying to argue a point, it helps to actually sound intelligent.

Resume.
