ALGs are highest at lower levels 2-20, that being the key time to pump them up, this leads to each ALG being worth more (based on the current cap of said attribute). For example, a 0.5 ALG to strength is worth a full SP if strength is at the 1st cap (2.5 SP if at the 5x cap). You have minimal benefit from ALGs to carrying.

As a balanced FB, carrying is very important, being a major and being vital to breaking tackles. It's hard enough to build a specialist player... balanced builds have to be built extremely well to carve out a niche for themselves.

17 SP to spend

Speed & Agi both 77, - ie 6 SP =1,Strength 79 -ie can add +2 before +1 takes 7 SP.
I'm favouring Strength

Nice build.

I would probably pump up the pancake SA or cap vision at 68 TBPH. If you choose the pancake route, respec downfield blocker for showboat blocker and try to be a demoralizing blocker. If you go vision, I would probably lose the strength EQ and get speed/agility/blocking up more, taking the role as a technique blocker.

Looks good so far.

Take speed to 73, then round out SAs (power thru to 8 is your goal). At that point you can start working on attributes again (str/car/agi/spd towards the 77 cap).

As for VAs, short yard monster would be my second choice. Third would probably be shed weight, if you want to be purely a runner, otherwise scat back if you want to be an all around offensive threat (followed by YAC attack).

Not sure what your AEQ looks like, but you want two pieces of +% break tackle chance (3 pieces if you've been frugal with bonus tokens)... it's what will bring your entire build together TBPH.

Thanks,
Forgot to mention i do have 2 AEQ pieces, not fully upgraded right now (4 more BTs) \
First was a 3% break tackle chance. (1 away from fully upgraded)
2nd i just got this preseason was a +1 catching 5% break tackle chance (fully upgraded)
current break tackle chance 30%

strength will get to the 77 cap naturally (it is 76.32 right now)

right now cant go with SYM b/c of the 40 vision pre-req.

should i cont training stam/conf or start with vision/catching.

was planning to train stam to 40 at least and then switch to vis/catch?

Well, train vision/confidence til you can get SYM, then stamina again... hopefully we'll all the training combination options by then anyways. Also keep in mind saving some SP for the new custom SA slot that will come with archetype (and maybe the archetype specific SA too). Either way, you'll probably want speed to 73.

Now that % break tackle is getting nerfed,

http://goallineblitz.com/game/announcement.pl?id=311

what are people doing with their higher level eq?

was going to ask the same thing... does this make power thru as an AEQ more desirable?
maybe in a perfect world finding 1 peice of 5% break tackle, then for a 2nd piece PT, and if lucky to upgrade a 3rd another 5% break tackle?

Probably 1 +% Break Tackle piece and 1 Power Thru piece, using those saved SP in the two new SA choices. Since both will be relatively cheap in terms of SP.

+23% break tackle chance, 9+ power thru, 10 custom SA (spin, lower the shoulder or stiff arm) and 10 in the custom rushing FB SA slot (whatever that may be).

While broken tackles will still probably go down a bit, the added SAs (with the planned SA enhancements) should off-set the loss somewhat.

and right now he just sucks lol really had no clue what I was doing :| well actually looks like I was going for an offensive build and doing pretty well! but why is my lvl 28/25

Anyway I'm getting ready to use a +5 carry +1 str +10% brk tackle AEQ (will be like this in a few days, replacing a +3 spd, but I'll add +3 spd to my other eqs so) but the recent announcement borking with % aeq pisses me off! Should I keep this thing or look for something else?? Thinking of just making him a blocking fb (with proper aeq switched in as carry is pointless there) since he's rather light on his feet at 235 lbs

You have missed an awful lot of ALG with that amount of speed and stamina and judging from the way you have Carrying and Strength you have invested SPs in a skill instead of capping an other.

In the particular case you should immidiatly invest a skill point in strength. Then the next .38 ALG will be worth twice as much as a ALG in the current setting, where strength will be 48.16.

With more agility and blocking I can see him used as a pass and outside blocker primarily blocking pass rushing LBs , safeties and corners.

What's more important for a blocking FB - speed or stamina? Thanks for the great thread!
