Holy shit, someone got PP mad.
All I know is that PP is a great guy. As numerous others posted, he always went out of his way to PM before and after a game with words of encouragement.
He even shared some personal experience and best wishes when I was going through the situation of meeting my dad for the first time about a month ago.
One of the reasons I rarely shared control of ***O*** was that my ego is too damn big to give someone else the reigns. For the most part over 9 seasons I ran the offense, I ran the defense. When I tried to give away control a couple of times, I only lasted about a week until I took it back. Because frankly, there are few people that spend as much time looking at the dots than I do and I know what they can and can't do.
With the success that PP had and from some of the PMs and posts over the seasons I know he is the same way. Now introduce into that situation, two other people who also know what they are doing. Presumably these people would have big egos after winning two US Pro championships, although I have never exchanged more than a few short PMs with them so I don't really know.
That is a situation that doesn't look like it can work very well. I know it wouldn't for me. Talking GLB on the phone seems crazy to me, particularly sweating a phone call just before a playoff game. Yikes.
I did the Cincy game from 11pm to 2am the night before the game. I did the MEM game today between 10am and 1pm, only wrapping up the gameplan and settings about an hour before game time. I can't imagine being that into the dots to be worrying about it on the phone.
Anyway, PP you are a good guy and I hope that whatever happened you continue to find some enjoyment in GLB.

Well... since everyone else has public thoughts on the subject...
I've been with Steve's Rhino team with my HB since Doomsday Sin folded (RIP) following season 5. I've been with PP the last 2 seasons on the Maulers. Of the dozens of teams I spent time with, PP & Steve were my two favorite owners by far - both were dedicated to the game, willing to work hard for their players, active, and seemed to truly care about their agents... I really couldn't have asked for more from either.
With Tricon and Sledge I don't think I've ever seen 2 people more dotball knowledgeable and who are willing to spend more time working on this game... definitely two intense GLB'ers. I've worked fairly closely with them scouting, reviewing players, etc... Both were always quick to respond to anything I asked. I doubt you could find 2 other GMs that would give you as good of chance to win as these 2.
As far as all this drama, *shrugs*, what happened between all parties is really their business. Unless we were there (which no of us were - not even the players) we really have no clue what went down. Obviously for a variety of reasons things didn't work out. I can respect that, and I think everyone else should as well. PP wasn't having fun anymore - damn straight he should sell the team. This is a game, it is suppose to be fun. Like I've told PP, personally I have no problems with anyone in this equation so it is kind of a weird situation, but whatever, it is just GLB, people get mad, things move on, and sooner or later there will be some other drama-bomb for people to focus on.
Oh... and lolAfrica is definitely an underrated league. Not as good as USP obviously, but the top teams could hold their own here as playoff squads

From what I read from both parties, Those two seem like two guys riding the high horse from what they did with a team they folded after having a perfect season and not taking a chance to repeat because of the repercussions of failing. Not that I blame them but I think PP orchestrated a fantastic season bringing everyone he could on board to win a championship.

LOL that more me being irritated at what Steve said...the APL is a solid league but it's not on the level with the SAPL and CPL which aren't on the level with the USAPL. Anyways, I apologize to members of the APL for saying that.

Anyways, no need to focus on what happened, its done and over. Just focus on relaxing and actually enjoying this game. No one on ***O*** calls each other or really contacts each other outside of our forum (all though Duff did email me a pic of a Hulk statue holding up some titties, but thats a different story).
Anyways, do whatever you need to do to put this behind you, and make the most of it enjoying all the flex you've already sunk into the game.
