Did anyone else find this kind of insane, considering that testers play/manage/GM?

That hypocrisy is almost too much to believe. It's as if they found the most inept beaurocrats to ever sling red tape in politics and put them in charge of an online game.

The whole treasure hunt bit definitely seems like a big distractor for the test server debacle.

The game was set up about 2 weeks ago. It is just a coincidence that it started the same time as the test server issue.

Also, this shit has been going on for a while. Like I said in that other thread, I first found out about people who play this game having access to test servers when offisides was implemented. That was like 3-4 season ago I believe.. Some tester was giving out inside info and it was going around to some select people, I saw it on a team's forum that I had a player on.

That simply is not true. And same to Joe Miken. We started about 2 weeks ago. Before that the only one who had access to the test server was bort. People figured out high agilty DTs probably by comparing them with the success of high agility DEs and the pump fake - well if some is good, more is better. It wasnt' that hard. Bort's test server was the reason he was able to tone down the pump fake to make it more reasonable.

I know how to build players too and know this.

I'm not talking about pump fake and whatever else, I'm talking about something that was going around to a select few people about offsides. It said what the chances were for offsides if your vision and confidence was this, or that.. it was pretty specific and said it was from the test server.

Where is your proof that Bort has been the only one with access to the test server up until 2 weeks ago? THIS is a lie.

It's pretty easy to tell who has a guilty conscience around here, lol..

Perhaps the joke is on the testers. If Bort makes changes to the game before the season starts assuming testing is over, the testers are fucked.

I hope not, people should focus on getting their players to have more than 35 str if they want to take power backs down.

Although, I think the % likelihood of the RB breaking a tackle should lower after each broken tackle. If that isn't how it happens already.

This was added last season. Defenders can now gang tackle a ball carrier.

occasionally..... Some times, not so well... And I STILL can't believe that a bonus to tackling from behind hasn't been implemented

All that "min vision/confidence to not commit penalties" as well as the "minimum attributes needed to trigger SA's" was just 100% bullshit made up by some asshole throwing misinformation to the masses. The fact that the rumor was supposedly from someone on the test server doesn't make it so, as the rumors were complete crap, and eventually this was said by bort.

Please, please, don't use rumors started by some complete asshole as proof that people have had access to the test server buddy. When that stuff was spreading around GLB forums I knew from the start that it was complete garbage, but unfortunately some others fell for the trap...

In hinesight, you know the "insider info" was garbage, because penalties never became a huge issue, and SA's can been seen firing in low level players, without the bullshit qualifiers being met. Any owner who let that filth stay up in his team forum was actually, in effect, giving his team false information and hurting his players builds...

This whole test server thing should be a mute point now. Results are now public, though I'm sure now most people realize that the witch hunt was a bit unwarranted, as the tested did not have completely free reign anyhow. Go eat up your uber god test server info people...
