Never been any doubt about that in my mind Just pointing out that it's been awhile since you guys knew what it was like not to be on top.

And we take pride in that

This virtual merging of teams will destroy GLB in the long run. The monkeys did a great job with their recruiting and I don't mean to specifially single them out, but this has to end.

Bascially I know my team Never has a shot to win the Pro championship unless we merge with another team or The Monkeys get bored and disband their team.

What will happen is more and more teams will be gutted to make "Super" teams and the leagues will be forever screwed up.

Again I have no problem with what the monkeys are doing, however if you look at the long term picture for GLB this practice has to stop.
Maybe a roster size cap would do it. I'm not sure.

That's the main problem I have with the merger.

Strategy-wise, it's smart for the Monkeys. Kudos to them.

But we all saw what happened to Cyberdunk. Essentially, roster sizes need to be capped. I think 48 is more than enough.

WHAT FREAKING MERGER

FOUR of Saris Players
ONE of sledges players
ONE of Tricons

6 GUYS how the hell is this a merger

we Also got 4 Stangs Did I merge with them

DAMN this is just a bunch of BS.

Last season we brought in 14 new players

this year 15 SOMEHOW it's a major happening shaking the very foundation of GLB. Lighten up

You brought in some of the best players from some of the best agents in the game. It may not be "shaking the very foundation of GLB", but it certainly qualifies as a majot happening in my book.

Major happening? Definitely
Ruining the game like some have said(Nobody from USA Pro that I've noticed)? Far from it

There is nothing wrong with what the Monkeys did.

They have a great team that people want to be on. If NFL players had a choice (And money didn't matter), they would all go to the best team out there too.

What I do love is what this thread has done to people. LOL. Some of the reactions are priceless.

Congrats to the Monkeys for getting some nice new studs.

There aren't many in here who disagree with this. It is the outside world (outside US Pro) that seems terrified of this.

There was no merger.

It was more a case of being in the right place at the right time. Two teams were disbanding and MEM was easily the most attractive destination for the FA's who wanted to stay in USAPro. Everyone already knows how active they are, their owner seems like a stand up guy which cuts down on the contract drama, and equally importantly (for me at least) they scrimmage a ton of elite teams from other leagues. Personally, I just wanted to prove that USAPro has the top teams, and if I can help the Monkeys pummel Benitos and the like I'll be happy.

I know personally I don't have any problems... I'd have done the same thing (and to be honest, I tried, as I pm'ed Sledge shortly after his post). And I don't think there is a team in USA Pro that is handing the title to Monmouth. Will it be difficult to beat them? Sure. Is it impossible? No. And like one of their GM's said, we always have season 11 lol.
