That's because OTs need second capped agility and softcapped speed. Build your Ts right and you won't have a problem with DEs.

Many people will tell you that defensive linemen deserve to be nerfed because of their sack numbers, but I've been noticint lately that for every DE with 80 sacks there are 5 QBs with 6,000 yards and 10 WRs with 2,500 yards. It's absolutely ridiculous. I understand that a lot of those yards AND sacks game against gutted teams, but when a QB passes for 500+ yards and 12 touchdowns against an evenly matched team or a DE gets 11 sacks against an evenly matched team, something is wrong.
.

yea, poor gameplanning/poor players at CB OT

I agree with you, but the stats are still ridiculous.

You have my vote. As long as the suggestion box is here bort will never rest....That's a good thing because that means your game will never get boring.

Im not sure this would work again and if you look at some teams when you play even match games guys are not getting 500 yards evey game or 12TDs the game works fine.yes teams go thru and get killed some games cuz there opp is better then them.or your play a team that has all lvl 12s in a 21 cap league y change somethig that isnt brokin.it come down to this when two teams look even or alil above you or below you play the game sims are right on givin you didnt misque your gameplaning.

If you gave up 12 sacks or your def gives up 15 TDs in one game its your own fault you messed up the gameplaning.

That's a ridiculous thing for them to need. O-linemen are the slowest players on the field in real life. How much Strength do WR's need?

OT's should need good Agility, but not second-capped, and 30 Speed should be plenty for them.

great idea with the step drop and read progression, then the OL sa's for cut block could be applied to three step drops not just the run. i think you'd have to add in CB's being able to jump the route

Can I get a +1!

Our defense was unbelievable in seasons past... and was merely average this past season. And against teams we've played before.
Things are always changing yes, but I'd always rather defense has the edge than offense. Keeps a sense of reality in the mix.

Actually, defense having an edge is worse than offense having an edge. Offense sells tickets for a reason: Defense is much less exciting.

However, offense had too much of an edge last season to be realistic, so it does need to be reigned in somewhat.

There remains a problem with offenses dominating, and the extremely unrealistic increase in LB drop-offs around midseason, as discussed here:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1941602

...is a reason why as far as the running game.

So, to wrap things up for the shorter attention spans out there:
-Implement timing into passing
-Add a "Read Progression" tactic for QBs that gives options to progress through reads "Deep to Short", "Short to Deep", "Left to Right", or "Right to Left".
-Get WRs to actually attempt to get open once their designed route is done.
-Make Tackling and Strength more relevant to all defensive positions, not just defensive linemen.
-Get QBs to actually attempt to avoid sacks rather than just taking them by moving them around or throwing it away.

Havent seen any real comment on this, and its a pretty good OP so....

1) Timing is slightly different on all pass plays, its not set up to be exclusively 3/5 step drops, because of the myriad of speed/agility variables through out GLB. trying to force a uniform drop step will result in some QB/Reciever combos being entirely incompatible. The way it is now, Bort can control the timing of each play specifically, and adjust it as/if required, which is far more effective and beneficial, without restricting build variety.

2) Read Progression has been updated a lot since the OP, but the additions to the player tactics are interesting.

3) WR having open ended routes. Again this has slightly improved, but needs addressing properly, especially with more Defense control on its way.

4) Tack/Str has become a lot more relevant recently, to all positions.

5) QB have got the ability to throw the ball away, there have also been minor improvements to the QB behaviour in the pocket.
The next step really is to design some QB Waggle plays and scripted Roll Out passes with blocking to support it.

until we start seeing more games played by similarly leveld teams, the imparity of the game will continue to have whacked otu stats.

whacked otu stats and whacked out builds will only continue until parity is fixed.
