P.S. I have a PM from Commander saying that he thought the tournament I ran was a great idea and would be glad to help in any way he could. Then when Vanilla Thunder and others on Trout questioned their ranking (and eventually lost in the tournament), he switched and now I'm sure he would tell you he never was in favor of the tournament nor thanked me for running it.



I wanted to help you because I thought your idea had great potential. unfortunately, it failed. I still do want to have a big global tournament thing. I offered to help scientist with something like this but it got nowhere. the biggest problem with your thing was that you had tons of teams who didn't give a shit because it seemed like a giant clusterfuck with no organization, and then the tournament sucked.


I was told it was very well organized. Especially since there was no guarantee that friendlies would even exist. Let's see how well you would do in terms of PM'ing 100 owners and having them set up a 6 game tournament where the games have to be played almost every other day and offer for the next round sent immediately after or before the previous round was over.

Please tell me what teams in the tournament didn't give a shit (since there was a TON)? I actually talked to the owners and have their PM's. You don't.

There were only a few that I know who publically "said" they didn't care: Trout, DDL, and maybe a couple more. However, those teams were the MOST active on the boards and had the most excuses in advance for any possible loss that could occur. You would think if they didn't care, they wouldn't have bothered making a post at all.

Most teams were really excited about the opportunity to test their teams against the elite of the game. Some were a little bummed that they couldn't be boosted for the tournament. I didn't beg anyone to join the tournament. I busted the Pimps and Kai's balls a little, but it didn't bother me at all they they didn't join. Though good teams, neither one of them had a chance to win it all.

It sucked because......Trout lost early?? lol

Who the fvck are you to rank anything? Your team sucks. You can't even make the playoffs and wouldn't be in CPL if you hadn't signed up for a team early enough. My guess is you couldn't make it out of some AA leagues.

Dude, I didnt care about where we were ranked, theres a ton of teams at the top all about the same level that are no more than 60-40 favorites against each other. What I cared about was the enormous absence of logic used in determining it. Your only reasoning for our ranking was that we had to be ranked behind a team who beat us in the playoffs in a game that everyone knew was hacked, but you treated it the same as every other playoff game.

Like I said, my High School is 5 time conference champion and 2 time state champion. My cousin's pee wee team is back to back undefeated league champions. I guess both of them are better than any NFL team besides the Giants, right?

I don't even know where I finally ranked you guys, but it was very hard to rank a team that lost by a level of cheating that we will never know. Anyone who said they knew the appropriate spot for your team with being oversimple. Since you never lost a "fair" game, do I rank you #1? #10? How do I know you wouldn't have lost anyway? After much time thinking about it, I realized that it didn't matter since you were in the tournament anyway. It was almost universal among all of the teams that they didn't care about their rank as long as they were in. 50% of the teams could have made an argument for a higher seed, but only 1 or 2 did.

This year I'm thinking about just randomly seeding the teams so that there aren't any arguments and wasted time over seeds.

Come on, SI.

Not everyone can win their way into a Pro league like you guys did.
