I love this idea, have supported it from the beginning, realize that it can't be perfect because of an issue with roster minimums, but want it anyways. No additional code, no additional positions, no removal of OOP penalty, just a league with very small roster limits. 20 would be fine. Thanks.

I have no interest in doing this. But it's a great idea. If there is truly the interest to warrant it it should be done. It wouldn't seem that difficult to implement.

I would think that 234 different users saying they support this idea, and most of them saying they would make a player or buy a team, would imply that there is interest to warrant at least a good test-run by GLB management.
The majority of the users who support this, especially the most vocal ones, seem to have all come to the consensus that a 20-player limit is acceptable even if it's not ideal. And we understand that once a 20-man limit gets implemented, it would be very hard to ever lower it if the coding was ever changed to allow it.
But I don't make the game or make the rules, so what do I know? I also don't stand to make money off of it if this is a success, which is a shame, because I really think this would become a thriving niche community within GLB. Look at some of the names on the list of people who have supported it, and you will see a lot of old-school GLB vets who find this idea intriguing at the very least.
I just hope it hasn't completely fallen off the radar, like I was afraid it would once it got moved back here to the main suggestions forum. It certainly hasn't died from a lack of people coming back to reiterate support. You can't expect too much substantial discussion on the idea at this point because, quite frankly, I think we've answered every single question there is and have all our bases covered.

Has it been thought to try this a season unofficially using scrims? Like some of the tournaments? I fielded Iron Man teams for 2 seasons with one my teams just for shits and giggles.

Someone in the Peewee leagues was considering putting together an Iron Man tournament for Season 13. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything about it being announced.

It was in Epic Suggestions, but was moved back to the main forum during the last phase of Project Bort. The reason for that was to un-clutter the Epic forum to make it easier to go through the suggestions there -- either to implement them, put them on the Not Going To Happen list, or because they needed more refining. Since this suggestion doesn't fall into any of those categories, it was bounced back here in what we hope will be a temporary move. This idea lives on because of all the great support and feedback it has received since it was first introduced on April 5.

So, trying to remember... we know for sure that Bort knows we're okay with 20 right? That was confirmed by someone?
