The Beavers keep on scoring... they remember how close the seedings were last year and how overall scores played such a big part so will be pushing to score more before the season is out.

So if two teams are tied the team that scores the most points in season gets the Top Seed?

I calculated SKULLS scored 482 points on season so far and ISOTOPES scored 556 on the season. So then we should be in First place correct? How does this work?

If 2 teams have the same record it goes on head to head between those teams.

If more than 2 teams have the same record it goes on head to head between those teams, but if it is even (e.g. Skins beat Topes, Beavers beat Skins and Topes beat Beavers) then it goes on points scored in the season (not points scored in the Head to head games as I found out last season!).

1: Minnesota Skulls (10-1)
No-one expected anything less than a big win vs Flathead but 15 passing TDs for Rock Slinger is ridiculous! 49 TDs is a new career high for him and he leads the West in yards by nearly 1100. Andrews, Bomb and Catcher are the top 3 TD catchers in the league to boot. The rest of the season is stat-padding rather than challenging.

2: Birmingham Beavers (10-1)
Whoop! There it is! The Beavers will be on a high after winning that one. The No. 2 back in the committee won this one for them as Powder Addict snagged 2 TDs on the day. The Beavers claim to be wary of their whole remaining schedule, but they should focus primarily on the Rahls to keep them from #2 this season

3: San Antonio Rahls (10-1)
It seems the Rahls have been quiet this season, despite Rone updating the Power Rankings... Well, they are still the #2 team in the league in my opinion (until Beavers prove me wrong?) and this is due, in no small part to their immense rushing attack. Elessedil added 142 yards more this week whilst The Heat went over 1000 for the season (well under a season)... Fukudome Fukuyoudo needs 28.5 more yards next game to prove my 12-week, 3x 1,000 yard rusher theory correct.

4: Fort Richardson Redskins (9-2)
The Redskins look good this season with close losses to the Beavers and Rahls and only the Skulls left to face.... They likely won't climb higher than 4th with 3 losses (likely) but take comfort in having the tie-breaker over the Topes for the home-field advantage in the playoffs. They will be rooting for the Rahls in week 13.

5: Amarillo Isotopes (9-2)
They upset the Skulls but dropped games to the Beavers and Redskins, but they were close... The Topes are still a solid top 5 team... They have a tough couple of games coming up... They could lose position to the Aces if they are upset... but they should get through that one to secure 5th at least. The Rahls could be a different prospect altogether though.

6: Las Vegas Aces (9-2)
Technically in joint 4th at the moment, but their remaining games couldn't be more different. They have 3 games against 3 top teams and 2 games that they will cake-walk through... They won't be able to climb into the top 5, but they also are almost assured of 6th as they own the tie-breaker on the Tigers and have 11 guaranteed wins...

7: Raleigh Fighting Tigers (7-4)
The game against the Redskins wasn't close, but it also wasn't completely beyond the Tigers. They have moved into a decent position this season and should make the playoffs with 1 more win (the Gunslingers have to upset the Skulls to hit 9 wins)... The Breakers game should be that win, and they control their own destiny against the Wedgies for 7th. Big game this week.

8: Atomic Wedgies (5-6)
The Wedgies 6 losses this season have come against the top 6 in the league, they have 4 straightforward games to end the season. The winner in game with the Tigers will take the 7th seed and the loser will likely take the 8th spot. This will be a game to watch, season 2 the Wedgies won 6-0, season 3 they won again 20-19. Could they make it 3?

9: San Antonio Gunslingers (4-7)
Their season in now out of their hands... Realistically they will finish 8-8 unless they have a miraculous change of form vs. the Skulls. Wedgies and Tigers both hold tiebreakers over them so they will be rooting for an upset of either of those teams as the season comes to a close. They need to win in week 16 vs. an average Eastern team to have any chance though.

10: Ditka's Army (4-7)
They done what they can to finish 10th now by beating the Extreme, but if remaining games go to form they could still finish behind them, picking up only 1 more win... Breakers loss week one cost them... Team is looking good now... Look for at least top 10 next year, if not playoff contention!

11: Austin Extreme (3-8)
Despite dropping the game to the Army, they still are in the best position to take 10th this year. They aren't going to recruit I guess? but if they are late boosting, they will have caught up a level or 2 this year. They will be a respectable team next season as they don't need to worry about recruiting and have no holes...

12: Miami Breakers (3-8)
They have a strong team, I don't know why they are down this low... Their strong levels will be worrying the Tigers who need at least one more win to guarantee playoffs. They have been unlucky like the Army to draw a top 2 Eastern team in week 16, they will finish 11th though ahead of the Army. The Extreme have an easy I/C game to put them 1 win ahead.

13: Java Monkeys (2-9)
Could lose the next 4 on the bounce I'm sorry to say and losing to the Vikings will have been tough. Should win week 16 vs the worst team in BBB#5 East though.

14: Saint Louis Lowriders (2-9)
Not much to say beyond what I said last week. This season is in the books for them and they should be taking advantage of this to start preparing for season 5.

15: Death Valley Vikings (1-10)
I couldn't believe they'd put together enough offence to beat the Java Monkeys... and then I saw they hadn't... It was their lvl 26 HB on 2 PRs... and even that wasn't easy... It req'd numerous broken tackles and a lot of yardage to get them though. Further proof that ST needs decent tacklers rather than just any backups for game time... Congratulations on win #1 though. Can't climb above the Lowriders though due to head to head, even with win against the Flathead.

16: Flathead Just Go Krazy (0-11)
Well they've saved up their money this season... But we don't know whats coming next season though... Do they?

no problem Minnsooner, just gotta make sure the Tigers beat Wedgies, Breakers and Catfish to avoid the #8 seed and the Skulls. (I think we can drop the Catfish game if we beat the Wedgies though)

So close!!!

although I don't know whether I'd play the Rahls or the Beavers at #7...

basically to avoid one of the top 5, you gotta finish 3rd... which means beating 2 of them at least to get there!

of well, hoping for the typical playoff twists!

I'm a new GM of Ditka's Army and I just wanted to say thanks to Ethan and good job. Our team enjoys seeing what you have to say after the games.
