I just had my game, I could definitely see a difference in how my guy rushed and the LT blocked. I did get two sacks (one against a lvl 25 and the other against a lvl 14) and two hurries. I'm going to stick with my build and see how I do against some tough competition.

At the earliest about 5 games down the road after I see how my guy does with speed with the evasive setting.

My DE is by no means a speed DE however I set him on evasive and he had 3 sacks, all against an equal level OT.

My instinct is that evasive is the best setting for DEs, for pretty much any build. We'll see how it works out.

I didn't say this game has to resemble the NFL, but it should resemble football (you know since that is what it's supposed to simulate). Putting an OT as kick returner, isn't a very good idea. Sure it is possible and all. Although it's not effective, which is why it doesn't happen regularly. Now if I put an Ot as kick returner in GLB and he had 3 kick return touchdowns and a 35 YPR average, that would be something like a DE whose built like a DB getting 40+ sacks in a season (especially when other realistic builds can barely manage a sack or two in a season).

I guess you have to suspend logic to enjoy GLB.

I think when you get deep down to it a lot of warlocks anger comes from the fact that he built a shitty DE thats managed 1 sack in 3 seasons

Thanks, although it was against a lower level OT. Can't read too much into it.

It was the first game that the new tactics settings looked like they were implemented though.

Mike, are you building your OT and G to specifically offset speed rushers or just going with the basic str and blocking? Just curious, don't see it very often when someone has a lot of success at one position trying to build a guy to counter that.
