You have your opinion and I have mine as killing 58,000 US soldiers for no good reason was caused by a Democrat, not Republican with the imminent threat being Communism which is the point I was trying to make in the beginning. No formal declaration of war was passed by Congress at any time for Vietnam so reaching a unanimous agreement on a precise date will never happen so it was a trick question on which each individual will form their own opinion. You see JFK and the President's before him were never going to put boots on the ground mostly because they were afraid of China getting involved and also why they never declared a war on Vietnam back then. It wasn't until 1964 that Congress gave the rights to the President to enter troops into Vietnam(boots on the ground). Before that is was mostly Military Advisors teaching the South Vietnamese how to fight. By the way, our first involvement in this war was actually in 1945 when Truman was President if that matters. Think we pretty much covered Vietnam and our opinions on that matter so do you care to comment on what ZZ said which was pretty much spot on with how a majority of Americans feel today? I mean these Congressmen/women are supposed to be working for the people and not their own agendas so it is time for that ignorance to stop or just vote them all out which should probably happen anyway.
impressive. quite a lot of hoops there. educate yourself .on what the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is.
