As for the XP problem, you could try this...
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-no-longer-works-some-versions-windows-xp

Your firefox might be outdated because your XP isn't running service pack 3.

I really don't know, Microsoft doesn't even support XP anymore.

Firefox works just fine for me... only problem I have with Firefox is that it takes forever to load GLB2 replays. That's it.

And I already have Service Pack 3 installed.

So... I still think the issue is that GLB2 replays are more resource-intensive than GLB1 replays. Give us a dots-or-bots option on GLB2 instead of forcing everyone to watch bots, and I'd be willing to bet this would clear up the issue for anyone who has issues with slow-loading GLB2 replays.

I think it's because it's on a completely different player than glb1. When you load the first play on GLB2 you're essentially loading the whole game at your disposal, clicks between plays don't take you to a new page, it simply just shows you the next play, I think it generates a new URL so you're able to share replays, but I don't think it actually takes you to a new page. I don't know what you call that though, it may be flash player or whatever.

Well, yeah, they are slightly more resource intensive, but that shouldn't be the cause of taking exceedingly long times to load.

You're only loading about 1mb into cache on the first load of a game, which is really small nowadays. My parent's backwoods internet can load 1mb data in a couple seconds. At home, my internet is about 10x faster than my parents.

The main issues people run into with replays are browsers that don't fully support canvas and HTML5. I think the XP thing has something to do with some issues with ajax requests, as the other user with XP was having trouble seeing games on team pages which are loaded by ajax. Replays are loaded via ajax requests.

I'm not entirely sure. I can pretty safely say a dot version isn't planned for the near future, and I'm not even convinced that would help the issues with failed ajax requests (or whatever it is).

But there's other stuff in GLB1 that also loads with ajax, correct? And I don't have any problems with anything in GLB1.

What are the differences between GLB1 replays and GLB2 replays?
