Great. Wonderful. But it wasn't working fine for me, so that wasn't a particularly helpful response, and it implies that I'm complaining about a problem that's actually only at my end. And given the number of random things that were breaking yesterday and today all over the site, that really just rubbed me the wrong way.

Ive also PM'd corndog directly when the change first came out with bugs i was finding.... all of which have been resolved.

but you act like the bug mods have access to the test server or all the back end knowledge and inner workings of the game and how things work. We know just about as much as you do when changes are made. The majority of the time we fight for something that is a bug and it goes unresolved or gets put into the category of will not fix. We are limited in our resources to properly test things. We are limited to our own personal computers, laptops, phones, tablets and whatever else there is that may or may not be the same version of software or hardware the user is running. At best we can push it to an admin to make a decision and then we relay that response to the user base thus looking like the incompetent people.

Just like when forum mods ban you, they are the root of all evil in this game but they are just doing as much as they are allowed to do while still trying to follow the rules of GLB.

so i am curious why i was picked as a bugs mod, i'd like to hear your thoughts.

You have to disable replay rewrite and use GLB's own replays. It sucks, but that's the only option right now.

Honestly the only thing I know you for is attacking me in the WL forum. If not for that I wouldn't have a clue who you were, so I don't think it's fair to say I "don't like (you)." My frustration with Bugs mods is more than warranted. Only a handful of people including Mike Rogers have done more to identify Bugs and their potential solutions than I have, yet repeatedly over the years I was met with "working as intended" or "I'm not seeing it so this isn't a bug." I don't make shit up and I don't treat people unfairly. If I criticize you, you deserve it. it's not personal with me. Deathblade has said some really mean personal shit to me but I actually like him anyway and think it's good that he's involved with GLB, although he probably shouldn't post publicly while being so. In the moment people just think I'm being an asshole, but everyone eventually sees that my complaints were actually correct all along.

I worked specifically with mike rogers and was taken on as a bugs mod specifically because of my work with him in private forums. I have resolved plenty of bugs through my own testing and using my own flex prior to becoming a bugs mod. Just because i didnt do it in open forums with walls of posts doesnt mean that i havent done my part. There's a reason i was selected, and there is a reason that i stayed on when they cut down the bug staff significantly.

losing mike rogers and that other guy to never be named again hurt us bigtime. We dont have any true line to the admins since that happened. It doesnt mean we arent still trying, there are at least a couple that care enough to respond.

you say i attacked you in a WL forum, when in fact it was you that originally attacked me a few seasons back and i bit my tongue.

There are a lot of things you bring up that may be valid, and i can admit that they are, but again, there's only so much that i can do to get it resolved aside from bring it to an admins attention and let them decide if it can be fixed/will be fixed/ or they dont care enough to fix it.

i submit bugs that get closed as working as intended as well. It is what the admins specifically bort, wants for his own game that he built and what more can we do that give him our findings and let him decide.... you need to respect the creator of the game at that point.

It's possible, but I can't imagine why I would have noticed you at all. Regardless, there are no feelings of ill will on my part, although I would prefer if you didn't buzz around me like a fly in that forum.

and the GIF files were working, just PNG files that would have eventually been figured out with another response. Bort fixed it from this forum prior to the bug ticket so there was no need to venture into more detail.... but again, somehow i become the badguy.

fwiw mike rogers had test server access so he could usually replicate bugs. the bugs moderators dont have that access. not that i sometimes dont agree that some of the responses given towards bugs from bugs mods arent total facepalm and irritating.

Our Bugs Mods are volunteers and unfortunately they have been hit with a lot of requests the past few days and have been valiantly trying to respond as much as possible. I totally take blame for not helping them out more in the Bugs Ticketing area, if you have a bug that you feel isn't getting enough feedback please send a ticket to Support.

We appreciate that you try, Ellis, so please don't take this the wrong way, but Support has much less of a clue than the Bugs mods. Even Bort himself can be stubborn about insisting that something isn't a bug before eventually realizing it is, like the taco bell weightgate thing. No one has any chance to fill Mike Rogers' shoes and we don't expect anyone to be able to.
