So yeah good luck convincing a jury of that one.

Do I really need to go that far with it? I thought about it. But I figured it wouldn't stop the trolling anyways.

I respectfully disagree, it is "on you" to some extent. As an employee of this site you have a responsibility to apply the rules consistently from thread to thread and user to user, something you've been unable to do. You also have a responsibility to rise above trolling users in threads... Not doing so hot on that front either, need look no further than this thread.

The list of areas needing improvement in a GLB is long, and ever changing, but the one constant has been the willingness to allow shitty mods to keep on being shitty. I've enjoyed this game for five years, but after the handling of 2.0 by Bort and Co, and the behaviour of the mods since that time I'm sincerely going to enjoy watching this game circle the bowl.

Yep, you know when ATLFan and I agree on something that there is no denying the problem exists.

Yes, you have made it quite clear you hate me and the game in most posts you have made as of late. Thanks for your concern.

That pretty much nails it (I removed the part about watching GLB from the sidelines, since my passion for some sort of a football outlet will keep me here and I know I'll test GLB2 as well). Whether the mods want to quibble with the technical term "employee" or not, its beyond question that they act as a representative of the site. Pallow has never given proper direction for a customer-retention focus in moderation, and the lack thereof hamstrung the first version of GLB and will do so with GLB2 as well if not corrected.

for the umpteenth time, we're not employees of the site

I also challenge you to find a home on the interwebs with volunteer mods that don't have 'shitty mods'. We're all a little shitty because we do this on a volunteer basis. If GLB had staffed moderators, allowing for a smaller staff and higher standards, it'd be a different situation. That involves resources going to forum moderation, though, and that's understandably a luxury item.

ETA: Is it a lame 'excuse'? Sure, but it's reality. We're here to play the game, not mod the forums as a full-time job.

You're Exhibit A of the problem. Its not that you CAN'T be a "Lead Moderator"--its that you have no business being so when it you do things like the post above. That's as much on Pallow for the lack of direction is it you.

Not formally, but flex compensation means that you aren't volunteers.

One person could moderate these forums. It's not hard to keep tabs on 10 posts per hour at peak times.

As a whole the troll was pretty lousy. Effort probably got you the most points, because you bottomed out on originality and follow through. Did not expect much better though, as all of your posts leave me with a nostalgic reminiscence of my 9th grade English essays. 2/10

Exactly. I suspect the money saved by not hiring professional moderators has been lost three times over by the number of agents who have left due to issues with mods and admins. Another example of the lack of business knowledge from Bort and Co.

Sign of the apocalypse, tbqh.
