Full self-rostered teams probably have the best team forums though

You could not have a real draft. Players cant be rail roaded. The whining for releases can be annoying when they volunteer and change their mind. Draft would be too negative.
What would work though is a simulated draft like effect.
Using the concept of the free player as a draft pick.
I suggested this long time ago but forget the details, but figure it could work something like this
Each season a team gets an amount of Draft Flex. The amount is dependent upon regular season standings within the conference, and runs from say 300 at 16 to 20 for first place.
A team owner can spend his teams Draft Flex to build a new player whenever he wants. However that player is bound to the team that paid Draft Flex for him. Whenever he is in the age range of that team, he can not sign with any other team but that team. If he is on contract with another team he is automatically released.
Draft flex can also be used to pay for boosts and CEQ for Drafted players associated with that team.
Draft Flex and Drafted Dots (ones built with the Draft Flex) can be traded (in increments of 100, 200 and 300 for Flex) between teams. So you can use the 300 Draft Flex you just got to trade for a dot from another team so it can help you out now rather than seven seasons from now. The team getting Draft Flex in a trade has it added to their Draft pool with the same limitations (can only be built for players for their team).
This way if you team sucks, you should at least have a chance to get better eventually, assuming you either can build decent dots or know a decent dot to trade for it.
Draft Flex is not refunded.

Took me 5 seconds to come up with a way to exploit this, and I'm sure people far more clever and devious than me would be even better at doing so.
Plus, it's also basically just a variation on the ol' NGTH Suggestions of "Give us more free Flex!" and "Give us more free players!" Call it a draft if you want, but that's still what it is.

Interesting for the first 5 seconds, yes, which is how long it took me to figure out an exploit. Not interesting anymore.

Hmm the concept of well built Boosters as top draft choices is what I'm visioning

Might just have to test it out again I guess....they said it wouldn't work before and it did...pretty sure even with a depleted userbase it will work again tho...IMO its needed now more than ever
