If you were all my electric customers for example, and every bill was sent out with an erroneous $15 charge, but you could all get the $15 refunded if you called in and asked for it. How many of you would think that that is ok? This team should never have been promoted, so just because there is a human way to fix it, that does not make it acceptable.

DC did this with red light cameras when one of them was on the fritz.

Upon further review, I see the OP isn't actually the team owner, so that limits what he could've done.

Still, though, the OP could've at least sent a PM to the owner. Heck, even opening up a Support ticket anyway couldn't have hurt, because then Support could've contacted the owner to see if they wanted to move.

Or, the OP could've paid more attention to what team they were signing up with. But, eh, whatever, nobody pays attention to that, apparently.

I assumed since I owned a retirement team and got placed in Pro league the game had really fallen to shit and we'd be ok... I honestly don't pay much attention and didn't look around much at the competition. I apologize for wasting my agents aging players season.

Yeah, when the illusion of football disappeared is when the game became much less fun.

not nice for a mod to judge on my owner skills...way to represent GLB

Ya it has been terrible of me to represent your right to be a competitive team and not be slapped in the face by GLB....

It doesn't make any sense to me that Bort and co. assign all these bug mods to look at little quirks in the game and then use testers to see how certain VAs and SAs are firing/working, but they can't spend enough time looking at the actual league structuring. 255-0 games are just pointless. They make these tweaks to the sim every once in a while but they can't find the time to make leagues more competitive? What good is fixing QB read progression speed when a handful of a team's games in a season are like watching Pro-quality teams playing against University and HS level teams? Blowouts and player morale spirals... it hurts the product, imo.

Eh, the testers don't really do anything anymore and the Bugs mods never did.

Bort and Catch have made it pretty clear in the past that all they want out of the promotion system is A.) for it to at least kinda-sorta mostly work, and B.) be as automated as possible, with an absolute minimum of human interpretation or involvement.

The current system fits both A and B, so they're stickin' with it.

It really isn't any more complicated than that. They don't think this is a problem. And...

His laissez-faire attitude toward league structuring and allowing declining players to sign contracts for Pro level teams is the reason why this team exists. No where is it stated, or enforced, that all dot builders must retire their dots after x # of days or only sign them to D-League rosters. So yeah, it kinda is the game designer's fault that this problem exists.

You guys still aren't getting it. The game is made for everyone to be competitive. Weeding out the teams someone feels might not compete in the next season is irrelevant.

Uhh... yeah. Well, some people don't care about fielding competitive teams and/or miss the opportunity to PM support to not have their team promoted. When a league's level of competition is completely left up to the owners to decide then this sort of thing will always happen.

you made playoffs.. how could he have known your team and owner would be complete shit? all your owner had to do was click the mouse and choose to stay in regional pro.

Bort assumes everyone wants to actually play the game and not beat up on cpu teams. obviously terrible agents like the ones on your team only want to beat up on CPUs. idc how many are in decline, UFC is in WL and theyre in decline. ill keep my dots playing wherever they can until no one will sign them in the best league i can. not all of us enjoy winning 255-0. you guys shouldve either recruited or requested to stay in reg pro. you did well last season. Bort cant be like "they need 11 dots, theyll probably be terrible." 11 dots is nothing. recruit for next season, demote or retire. its your owner's fault and yours for not letting him know that he doesnt understand anything.
