Granted, racy avatars don't have anywhere near the same value as CPL posts did

Nope.

Racy avatars generate zero forum activity. The only purpose they serve is showing who is going through puberty and who has a complete dearth of personality.

While we are on the subject of avatars, you really need to go back to House, DB.

Plus people take me way too serious when I'm sporting House.

It's much more funny when people get furious because they think I am whimsically trolling.

Racy avatars have nothing whatsoever to do with moderators being comically unaware of the rules, using bias when moderating, or applying the rules with dizzying inconsistency.

In the context of this thread it does. Some avatars that slid because of inconsistent moderation or lack of whatever, no longer seem to be. Or, this thread wouldn't be here. By the way, not all racy avatars are being banned, just ones that fall outside the rules. Rules have been the same. There's been a push for more consistency by the user base. Which Pallow is working on with the Moderating team. It seems it's affecting areas the user base didn't want it do.

Short version: Be careful what you ask for.

I'm also fairly certain that whatever Phil's avatar is is racy.

Actually wasn't there a 100+ page thread in SLAP about them once upon a time? And in actuality there were far more demonstrable negatives from CPL posts than from racy avatars. Plenty of people got butthurt over that, which prompted Pallow's Thunderdome nonsense before they killed the community entirely.

CPL also gave people reason to play.

Bouncing boobs do not.

You're embarrassing yourself by trying to equate two things that are in no way related, simply because you desperately want to be clever. Clearly this thread isn't about some people getting away with avatars while others don't, it's about the absurdity of the rule regardless of its application.

The notion of Pallow "working" is the funniest comment of the thread thus far.
