I give it an 8. The only thing I have against it is I wish they advertised and tried getting a bigger userbase.

Really enjoy the gameplay and the strategy behind it. (no sarcasm)

i give it a 3 and its trending downward.

i no longer watch offense or defense, and ST gets a measly 2. low level ST is unwatchable due to the 1 dimensional players and terrible coding. ST stats are totally ignored outside of the returner. the ST mvp is just ridiculous in many leagues with too much emphasis on % of scoring allowing returners on terrible teams to be ranked too high. the coding of the coverage teams is terrible especially on punts. 6 of the coverage guys run outside then run to a single point in the middle. and no STAI makes me very angry. And give us coverage stats already. my gawd, i even designed the whole layout for ya'll many seasons ago. how hard can it really be?

player creation gets a 3. the player itself is rather straight forward but can we add a few dozen more clicks to EQ, because 27 just isnt enough for 4 pieces. also the lack of ability to create older players when there are shortages is a huge problem. building is just no fun any more because there are so few acceptable end builds, so find the build plan that you want and just plug away. it was way more fun b4 i knew about ALGs. plus waiting for a year to see that final product is just boring.

the trophy system needs to be revised, and gets a 4. if i coach a ST MVP there is no way show that, but i can have the 16th ranked ST on a silver/gold team and get a st trophy. judging offensive linemen purely by pancakes is stupid. a run heavy team is far more likely to dominate those trophies than a pass heavy team. if you get 60 pancakes in 600 run plays, you were not near as effective as the player that got 30 in 200 run plays. and eventually, blowout stats even adjusted will determine many trophies. 15 TDs in a 255-0 blowout still adjusts to 5 and weighs more than a single TD in a 17-14 game.

competitive balance gets a 3. placing teams purely by how they performed the season b4 w/o looking at rosters is just wrong. there no excuse to have cpu or cpu filled teams in the pro leagues, or even the elite/competitive leagues of the lower levels. there have been plenty of popular and easy solutions proposed to fix this and to continue to not fix this issue is just pure laziness. and why is it that too frequently 1 conference is loaded and the other is so weak?

at a certain point, this game becomes "been there, done that" why do it again.

VERY VERY well said Guppy. You are 120 percent spot on with all your points of opinion and completely agree. We all wish they cared more again but even less now that we're out of the Beta tag is going to be the nail in the coffin.

Too many people forget this is a game and expect way too much out of it. There is no way to code this game to make it exactly like football down to the finest detail imo.

7 - A real life version of your team's mascot with a large foam head dances around and generally acts foolish. Always a fan favorite.
