You can still totally do crazy shit in pee wee gold. Hell, this season, I used a deep passer QB and didn't spend a single skill point on him all season (he threw for over 2k yards in Gold with only 15 throwing)... Then I turned him into a running QB just so I could surprise Gerr in the NBNC championship. lol.

Honestly, the main reason to want to stay in Gold is that the games are much more fun/competitive. Silver/Copper is too easy to win with all the CPU teams; you don't learn anything. It'd be like... doing a taste test between a Big Mac and a Pile o' Shit. Of course the Big Mac is going to be better, but that doesn't mean it's better than a burger off the grill cooked by LE or jkid or Gerr. (If I had to randomly guess, I'd guess that LE makes the best burgers, btw.)

And I do agree with what you said in the first paragraph. GLB would probably be more successful if the Pee Wee design was adapted to the rest of the game. But it's their game and their business decision, so whatever.

They won't have a business much longer if they don't pull a rabbit out of the hat this offseason. Even then it may be too little, too late.

We will never know because GLB never made peewee enticing enough for the vast majority of good coordinators to bother with this league. I can hold my own at this game but will never boost peewee dots at this price point. That's why the whole gold/silver/copper thing was silly. There simply wasn't enough people willing to throw money away to boost peewee dots. I can only assume the people that have boosted peewee dots over the seasons are people burning flex to leave. If not, they really took it up the ass.

I could do pretty much whatever I want with my player builds and still easily make the playoffs in gold and probably a top 4 seed. As for getting demoted, with a boosted team and more than 4 CPU teams in the conference, that is not an issue.

I don't think Pee Wee is dead. Maybe the initial flood of interest is gone and doesn't Bort reduce and increase based on demand when it comes to teams?

I remember a few seasons he created new leagues to meet demand just a few days before Day One. Wouldn't surprise me if teams can also be removed (cpu)

If they condensed leagues I definitely would be more interested. Not fun coasting to the playoffs and having no good games to scout.

Lets face facts here.. 90% of the teams currently in gold wouldn't be there if pee wee wasn't dead.. Thats not to say the current gold teams aren't doing well but the old teams from gold were on a totally different level. It was basically fighting an entire conference of SBWL BEARS and FG's. Silver had some decent competition too.. but in a nutshell.

I bought a team in gold expecting there to be some smack talk, rivalries, and such but it was dead. Go to the rookie league forums and then compare them to peewee gold. It's no contest.

The leagues with nothing but GG threads and rankings are boring. Having personality and a sense of humor doesn't necessarily make one a dick.
