i'm not talking about the church, can u read where in there did i say anything about the moral of a church. i said the bible gives people their moral map, it tells us whats right and wrong. Believe it our not regardless of if u believe god our not, everyday you live by the bible in one way our the other. Some people are so ignorant including you cause i said i am not at all religious. Meaning i don't believe in god either, but i do believe what religion stands for.

I just don't understand where all the hate is coming from with atheist. I mean, if you don't believe in God that's your right. Just honestly don't see why you are so angry and butthurt that others do have faith in God. Most atheists I encounter IRL are screaming fanatics who are just as bad as the religious zealots who make the rest of us believers look bad, tbh.

I'm not butthurt one bit.

I just consider religious people to be sub-human because it really takes away from your humanity when you need religion to get you through the day or even to be a good person. I've heard many people tell me that if they didn't believe in god they'd lie, cheat, and steal.

Now honestly what kind of person NEEDS to get something just for being a kind person?

Because god knows that religion is the only thing that says that its not cool to kill your neighbor.

Please tell me what religion stands for. I can comprehend two types of Christians

1. I'm a douchebag but want a happy eternal life
2. My life is terrible but instead of making it better I would rather wait for a mythical being to give me a better one

Its like you have never studied Mesopotamia in your 5th grade class or something.

Also this country was definitely founded on god. That's why Thomas Jefferson was for keeping GOD out of the government body or the fact that GOD was added to the pledge of allegiance. BTW Thomas Jefferson is being written out of textbooks in the GODLY state of Texas.

Or it could be that people who say this country was founded on god fail to do their research and instead they watch and read what politicians and the news say.

It is quite possible that the US was founded based upon The Declaration of the Rights of man and citizen. Or you know god just said "Poof 'Merica"

Here's a tip: Christians have always been a big demographic in the US. If you pander to the big demographics you win elections and/or people watch your show. It's a crazy concept isn't it?

Seriously this type of post takes you beyond the "asshole" level and just makes you quite simply a naive fool. Some of the world's greatest human beings ever were Christian and to disrespect/disregard as you do in this post is a travesty.

I have never encountered any evangelical atheists or non beleivers who are blatantly or militantly anti religion.
Most are content to let others do whatever they want.
The only time I have seen atheists angry at religion or religous people is when they attempt to force their beliefs on us.

I have witnessed an atheist group putting flyers on people's windshields that simply stated "god is a lie".

Is that different than folks putting fliers on my door that say "Jesus Saves?"

Each party seems to be disseminating their particular world view with equal lack of discrimination, presumably hoping to provide encouragement to folks who are "on the fence."

It would be fine with me if they were all ticketed for littering, tbh.
