It really has less to do with the OL/DT interaction, and more how the QB moves in the pocket. If QB's moved realistically (i.e. step up in the pocket when pressured from the outside), then DT's would function pretty well. You might not see 20 sacks, but 10 certainly wouldn't be an impossibility.

people must not have seen this comment but this is dead on imo. If the QB coding was changed to have the QB step up into the pocket when getting outside pressure, you would see an increase of sacks to a more respectable number

I could see that working only if he's used during passing situations. Wouldn't want him ever in during interior rushing situations... but no runs inside anymore these days.

Sack numbers are already quite respectable...just not from DTs.

So any sacks that DTs gain need to come at the expense of DEs or blitzers.

Otherwise the sim becomes unbalanced as QBs start eating dirt.

4 sacks in a tough elite league. Not bad for a DT tbh.

They've already toned down CB blitzing. How many of the CB sacks were from the first few games of the season? I'd imagine a good percentage happened before the blocking change.

Are sacks per passing attempt really in line with what you generally see in real football? I feel like there are fewer sacks per pass attempt in GLB than in real football, but I haven't done any math.

The math would be incredibly ridiculous. Screens make up way too much of the pass attempts for most teams. Bort's passing code makes QB's wait far too long to pass on a lot of the plays in the book regardless of slider settings due to the hot spots. And generally a lot of good or bad shit for either side happens in garbage time where in real life...teams are running out the clock for the most part. In GLB you are pushing a 70 point lead into the 200's because the other team has lost the will to live.
