Kinda losing luster the speed stuff though. Lots of 155-160 spd guys coming up soon. I almost don't want to see the builds in a few seasons. Sim is gonna need some major finetuning prob

Yes it is... when even LBs can start to hit the 150s, it's time to change up the sim.

Which leads to some of GLB's greatest problems... how do you cater to WL/Pro as well as the minors when you have to have the same sim for both? And what about the casual guys that don't know how to optimally build a player? GLB's player base is so weak right now

1) Increase the movement speed of a newly created player with no points in speed (the base value).

2) Slow down the rate at which speed scales.

Congratz, the minors are balanced and the WL is no longer fuxx0red.

So.... basically nerf speed for the dots who need it most, and buff it for the ones that don't? Doesn't sound like the best solution to me.

1) Scale top end speed by position

Ah.... I still don't think WRs should be getting that big of a bonus over (as an example) LBs in terms of speed.

Wonder if Bort is thinkin about this problem yet

Yeah, I agree. At the same time, the lower levels are sometimes difficult to balance because speed can be extremely overpowering at that level. So you normalize speed throughout the game by bringing the high end and low end closer to the middle, and then MAAAAAYBE you can begin to have legitimate builds that don't require 130+ speed.

The game should be rock-scissors-paper with all its stats, offering a variety of build strategies for the players. But it's hard to make a hard hitting linebacker (for example), because he can't keep up with fullbacks halfbacks and tight ends. Only a few positions (such as linemen) can get by without focusing speed.

Right now every team is a clone of each other, and that doesn't make for exciting or interesting dotball.

So virtually ruin the skill for everyone who has been building for the 150 speed wrs?

And benefit all those who didn't extreme cap it
