Maybe I'm just cornfused because I'm not an owner. What's wrong with PMing agents to see what their plans are for a given player going forward, regardless of day of the season, contract status, etc.? Isn't that just called 'recruiting'? I know I got PMs from at least 5 different teams prior to the end of last season. If a free agent is happy with his current team and their status for the next season, he's not going anywhere. If he's not, he is. Right?

Apparently QCBC owner gets bent out of shape - can't recall in 16 seasons of GLB getting pm's from the owner of a team whining because you're pm'ing a few dots on his roster on D30 when none of them are signed past D40... then him continuing the pm's on D41 when you start signing guys - much less, guys that didn't come from his team
