Guess. Not.
Hope to see you guys in the Silver Tourney, you'll know exactly what I'm going to do now and you won't be able to stop it.`
Yea I am going to have to agree with you on this, not saying I don't like Nif and Lunch Box, but the same thing happened to my team today in the Official Cup where OBBT ran I Slam 33+ times... They almost ended up beating us because of it, we won 35-28. I really just don't see the fun in running an exploited play almost every play of the game. That's why Bort and Co have come up with the multiple play penalty that I wish kicked in more often.

The playbook is finite. Why would I want to run my backs straight into the arms of your waiting db's? The only thing exploitable about a slam or dive is that your interior defenders lack the strength and/or tackling radius to stop them. Stop the min/max approach to player building and trying to find the 'best' way to train and start trying to stop the rush.

Yeah....I have to admit I was a bit shocked by the final score....I expected things to be much closer.

I agree with Nif, if you wanted to stop the inside run you could and would but for some reason people dont gear up for the inside and then when they get beat by it they start to complain? you can stop the inside run as i know 3-4 DCs who do, but problem is stopping both inside and outside runs....well...thats what seperates gold from silver doesnt it?

But i also agree with DTD, using the same play over and over again is abit tedious! but its there to be used and people will keep using it, until what it all comes down to which is a bigger penalty on multiple plays!

Might as well get used to it, the mediocre-sometimes good Gold teams do it all the time... Check out some of the past few games in gold (Preferably the Maine vs Wam, watch Maine's final drive)

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a clue what you guys ran (I didn't watch the game), I was just commenting on what Kaerey said... I am really just tired of teams with no offense that think that it's fun (I guess) to keep running the exact same play no matter if it's a scouted play or not.

I didn't watch the rest of the Maine/Wam game, but I didn't see anything wrong with that last drive. There was five minutes left, and they had the lead. That is just killing clock. Not to mention they did convert a pass in that drive.
Now the overall game plan of running it up the middle over and over and over and over again does drive me crazy. Although I'm not going to complain. I wouldn't do it myself, but if that is how others want to do it then fine. I just have to hope I find a way to counteract it.
Of course that strategy definitely leads to some ugly games. Like one of mine yesterday:

I'm pretty sure that was another EDB ran offense. Not fun to watch.

I'm not going to count them all but I'd venture to guess that fully half the plays currently available are labeled slam or dive or are ran between the tackles. That leaves the rest of the playbook as a crap shoot. I can roll the dice with a pass or I can hope a quality teams DAI picks the wrong time to not defend the corner.
The only argument I keep hearing is that you'ld rather me run the plays you can stop instead of the ones that keep the clock and the chains moving for me. Guess we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. I jsut rather be damned with a Win.
Not so sure the GG thread is the best place for a discussion of the SIM as it relates to Pee Wee play, tho..

No I am talking about when Maine was down 14-17, pretty sad what they did tbh
