Brackets are all updated waiting on seeding from a few more teams

This is what the 1st round bracket should look like I messes it up, but again each team will just play 1 game each round that they move on.

Round 2 Bracket (What the 1st round bracket should look like)-http://www.bracketmaker.com/tlist.cfm?tid=361714

Round 3 Bracket (Championship)-http://www.bracketmaker.com/tlist.cfm?tid=361714

Well its kind of tough to have it earlier because you don't know who the "real" best teams are

then again you can usually get a good idea even by week three. generally teams that were good the year before are going to be good again. and you can always count on anyone that drops from gold as being good. i could probably predict 3 of the top 4 in most leagues before any games are even played

Yeah, the real x-factor are the rising copper teams. It's often hard to gauge how good they're going to be.

It's only a 3-round tournament, so if the games started by day 24 you'd have plenty of time to get all three rounds in before the playoffs started. So you could send out invitations after day 16 (as soon as game 8 is over) to the top 8 teams in each league, with the understanding that some of them might end up as alternates. Require responses by day 18 (two days is plenty of time to decide), and then each league can seed their teams by day 20. First round completed by day 24, then seeding for next round by day 25, games played by day 28, seeding by day 29, championship by day 32.

Or in a possibly more readable format:
Day 0: Start the thread to get people talking about it
Day 8: Bump the thread so people are reminded that this tournament is coming
Day 16: Invitations sent to top 8-10 teams in each league (as judged by a script, or pick top 4-5 from each conf by standings)
Day 18: Accept/reject to invitations must be in
Day 20: Each league must submit their seeds via PM to a disinterested 3rd party (or script rankings will be used to seed)
Day 21: Matchups come out
Day 24: First round games must be completed
Early Day 25: Seeding changes must be turned in to 3rd party or seeding from previous round used
Late Day 25: Matchups come out
Day 28: Round 2 games must be complete
Early Day 29: Seeding changes must be turned in to 3rd party or seeding from previous round used
Late Day 29: Matchups come out
Day 32: Championship games must be complete

That schedule is pretty soft from day 16-24, to give people more time to figure out who's in or out, and to work through the busier portions of the tournament season. The schedule gets pretty tight from days 24-32, but after the first round you've cut down the number of teams to coordinate considerably.

If you want the schedule to be softer throughout, you could start the process on day 14, or tighten up the first week when people are trying to decide who's in or out.

I think the responses this season indicate that there's probably enough interest to get this thing going. And if you started the thread earlier, people would have more time to think about it and plan out who's going to accept/reject, and what seeds they want to use.

Well when you first started this thread I actually just thought of /stealing your idea and organizing the tournament myself (seeing as I really wanted to see it happen) but I got bored and made this, so I figured I'd share it as it represents well exactly what I'd like to see this tournament organized like.

I am actually more than willing to organize the tournament, as I have ample amounts of time, but honestly would rather not.

Like I said, I don't mind if nobody else wants to, because its worth my time to see it ran the way I'd like it to be.
