If/until any of you former AAA teams prove differently in the playoffs that's the formula we're dealing with here.

So our championship means nothing? I keep seeing you say that but it sounds more stupid every time I read it. Lemme try this

FACT: My team's owner took over our team roughly half way through the season during season 1

FACT: At that time, we had a losing record and our team was a mess.

FACT: Season 1, more than any other season saw people all start out on an equal plain and this fact would insure that superior tactics and personnel moves would mean victory

FACT: We won the championship year 1 and our total overall win streak was 32, the second longest in GLB history (I believe).

FACT: If you think that our championship was less valuable than any other, you are an idiot

Your championship means very little. It doesn't matter what kind of team you took over... you played against a bunch of CPU run teams. Every team was "in a mess" when their owner took over. There were not enough games/time to create a level playing field

"Superior tactics"? Come on, 3/4ths of the teams didn't even know how to change the depth chart yet. Use those superior tactics in ANY of the leagues now, and see what kind of edge you get.

The 32 game win streak is very impressive! That's the signs that you're a very good team.

I still believe that your championship is MUCH MUCH MUCH less valuable than a championship from season 2, even more so that season 3,4,5 and so on. As Pro (and AAA) get tougher, the difficulty in winning a championship will grow. You guys won when the competition was at it's weakest... which says you guys were pretty good. Winning now when competition is VERY strong... says a team is great. So, we'll see how it shakes out this year.

I don't really want to drag this out to a more brutal conclusion, but that's the point where you can start to claim 'Pro is Better' than AAA. When you have a AAA champion come up and face the possibility of going right back the next season (barring gutting or other issues).

I'm not saying that a team has to promote and relegate in back to back seasons, but if it's a serious possibility for good teams from AAA to go back down, then there's clearly a difference between the levels. Vice versa, if a team goes down and dominates...

Difference in levels shouldn't be an issue in a season or two...besides levels mean nothing. I don't know when you joined..but many people remember when the Warsaw Legionieres were dominant and had much higher levels, we played them when they had level 12-15 guys and our players were levels 7-10 and we beat them solidly. It's all in the game planning. That game we planned well...when the Prague Punishers spanked us in the championship, our planning was way off. The Punishers are a great team, we may have been the #7 seed in the playoffs, but we were far from a cupcake team.
