Points scored is an absolutely absurd way of breaking the tie. It used to be like that for the playoffs but then they changed it to points allowed as the tiebreaker. Unless you've heard otherwise recently, I'll bet they'll be doing the same thing for peewee promotions.

I know it's points allowed for the playoffs. With the cloud promotion structure, it's not really a big deal anymore like it used to be...so I'm not sure if they actually changed it or not.
I know it used to be points scored: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3301035 . This was part of the fallout when Andromeda won the official tourney, but lost to the Philly Fightin' Fuzz in the silver7 Championship game, and then got passed over by multiple other 2nd place teams for entrance to gold (they eventually got in b/c a team volunteered to step down).
Does anyone know if it was changed?
But I agree with you...it's a pretty stupid way to determine promotions, you get rewarded for playing it easier leagues.

This. I stopped putting up 120 PPG and went to 45 minutes of TOP and say 60-70 points. As DC for THE U!, I've got to say that we probably aren't among the top. In the regular season, we allowed only 3 TDs - 1 passing, rushing, and PR. Although we led the league in most stats and allowed -111.5 rushing yards so.
BTW, I called the Silver 2 Championship with ChiT and THE U!

And this isn't that unusual. In Silver 7 we have been giving up our top Western and Eastern teams to Gold to fill the extra spots since we had the tiered system. I have been with the Terminators since they started so it would be bitter sweet to make Gold and not get a season out of it, but that would be overlooking the U and JS has been clear of his intentions for awhile.

For a non-league winner to go Gold, there needs to be some Gold teams that are not in the auto-demotion group that go CPU or disband, and so far, none are that we know of.
In other words, don't expect to go Gold if you don't win your Championship game!!!

I'm actually 100% sure i'm NOT going to gold, if you read the previous posts....

This was how the Gamecocks got into gold.
